there are concerns that although the song has recieved reviews it might still fail WP:notability (music) as it was never officially released, did not chart and was not covered by other artists. furthermore the majority of users cannot access the source to verify the cover-art. - Keep - The article is okay, for one, though the only content is the critical reception (usually there's none of that!). But it had to be released for critics, and it has been covered by several reliable sources. Jennifer Hudson is notable, anyway, which makes me think that the real reason this is being proposed is that there is not a lot of content about the song. It needs writing, production (music video), credits, and more to become a well-structured article. ceranthor 12:05, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - the critical reviews are almost entirely single line entries imbedded within a review of the album. That demonstrates notability for the album, not for the song. -- Whpq (talk) 21:05, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Merge to Jennifer Hudson (album), fails WP:NSONGS. While there are references, there is no indication that this song has charted or received any significant awards. The critieria for songs is much more stringent and this one doesn't meet it. RadioFan (talk) 14:06, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Tentative keep - I did not check the reviews but there seems to be acknowledgement that there are several reviews. If that is the case, the song meets the general notability requirements and so the specific music criteria that RadioFan brings up are irrelevant. A song that meets WP:N is notable regardless of charts and covers. Rlendog (talk) 20:36, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - I highly recommend reviewing the sources which will show you how much actual critical review there is of the song versus the album. -- Whpq (talk) 21:05, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect to Jennifer Hudson (album). Rather than guessing, I looked at the sources. Aside from two excpetions, Pocketbook is mentioned in the overall context of an entire album review which also mentiosn many other tracks from the album. The exceptions are the NY Daily News which does not actually mention "Pocketbook", and Billboard which is a short piece that is actually about "Pocketbook". Given the lack of reviews specifically about the song and no indication of charting or award winning in some way, a redirect is the appropriate action. -- Whpq (talk) 21:02, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
