Anvato, Inc. is an online video company that was founded in 2007 by Alper Turgut, also the founder of Verkata LLC and Aligo, Inc.[1] Anvato provides an end-to-end media content management platform for content publishers and broadcasters, which includes video publishing, syndication, monetization and analytics. Anvato is headquartered in Mountain View, CA. Customers include Univision Interactive and Kantar.[2][3]

Technology

Anvato's products incorporate its proprietary machine-vision fingerprinting technology, Perceptual Signature.[4] Anvato processes videos (images and sounds) to extract a searchable, sortable sequence of numbers called Perceptual Signature. This signature simulates the human perception of the video.[5] It accurately and uniquely identifies the video and its content.

Recognition

Anvato is the recipient of the 2010 Frost & Sullivan Global Innovation Award in Online Video. [6]

Funding

Anvato received 2 million dollars in Series A funding from Oxantium Ventures in 2008.[7]
