Christophe Galtier (born 28 August 1966 in Marseille) is a French former football defender, who is currently the Head Coach of AS Saint-Étienne.[1]
Career
Galtier spent most of his career in France before ending his career with stints in Italy and China.
Coaching career
Galtier worked with coach Alain Perrin for some years, first at Olympique de Marseille, but also at Al Ain FC, Portsmouth F.C. and FC Sochaux-Montbéliard.[2] He also worked with Richard Tardy, when the latter coached Aris Thessaloniki F.C., before becoming coach of Saint-Étienne.[3] In 2010 against stiff opposition, he won the Cap D'or, an annual award given to the Frenchman looking most miserable in a baseball cap. He is set to snub a move to Aston Vanilla and join Newcastle United, replacing Alan 'excuses' Pardew.
