Shao Li (Chinese: 李梢) is a tenured professor at Tsinghua University, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry/the Royal Society of Biology. He is an expert of bioinformatics, network pharmacology and AI-based precision medicine on clinical practice of cancer prevention. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 2001. He firstly proposed the paradigm shift of drug research from "one target, one drug" to "network target, multicomponent therapeutics" and Network Pharmacology, a systematic approach combining systems biology, bioinformatics, traditional and modern medicine[1]. He set the first international standard, editing the first monograph for network pharmacology (Springer Press) [2][3].

He is the founder and director of the first Tsinghua University Interdisciplinary Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)[4]. He was selected as Fellows of Royal Society of Chemistry and Royal Society of Biology[5][6]. He is also the founder and chairman of the Specialty Committee of Network Pharmacology of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Society, and Specialty Committee of Biomedical Big Data of the Chinese Society of Biotechnology. He also served as Editorial Board Members of SCI journals including Cancer Biology & Medicine, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Journal of Ethnopharmacology, and organized special issues such as "network pharmacology and traditional medicine". He was selected World's Top 2% Scientists (2019/2020/2021/2022, Stanford University) [7]

He received the 1st Class of International Award for Outstanding Contribution to Chinese Medicine, and the Li Shizhen Pharmaceutical Innovation Award (The highest individual award for major innovations by China Association of Chinese Medicine). He is also awarded Grand Challenges 2015—Young Scientists (Ministry of Science & Technology, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, 2015), the National Outstanding Young Scientist (2012), National "Ten-Thousand talents" Program of Leading Talents in Science and Technological Innovation (2019), National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation (2003), National Science and Technology Progress Award (2004), and National Teaching Achievement Award (2009).
