The Hasselkopf is a 612 metre high mountain south of Braunlage at 10° 37' 08" E and 51° 42' 49" N. There are some ski tracks on the Hasselkopf.

On May 7th, 1964 Gerhard Zucker made a demonstration of post rockets on Hasselkopf. At this campaign an explosion disaster happened, which killed three people.
