Mehazabien Chowdhury (Bengali: মেহজাবিন চৌধুরী; born April 19, 1991) is a Bangladeshi actress and model who rose to national prominence after winning Lux Channel I Superstar, a Bangladeshi beauty pageant, in 2009.[1]
Early life and background
Chowdhury was born on April 19, 1989 in Chittagong, Bangladesh. As a child, she relocated to the Arabian Peninsula with her parents, attending Indian School, Sohar followed by Indian School, Muscat. While in the Middle East, Chowdhury did print modelling for a short time.
In 2007, Chowdhury returned to Bangladesh, and was propelled to national fame after winning the 2009 cycle of Lux Channel I Superstar. As a result of winning the beauty pageant, Chowdhury secured acting contracts for television dramas while increasing her involvement in modelling.
Chowdhury studied fashion design at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology. [2]
Career
Chowdhury's television debut was in Iftekhar Ahmed's drama, Tumo Thako Shindhu Parey, followed by roles in television dramas Call Center and Odhora. She has a starring role in the upcoming Porobashinee, Bangladesh's first sci-fi thriller.
Chowdhury has modeled for various brands, including jewelry brand D'damas, Lux (soap), Pepsi, 7Up, Pond's Creams, Maggi and Aarong.[3][4]
