Reinhard Pfundt (born in 1951) is a German composer.
Life
Born in Burgstädt, Pfundt received his first composition lessons from 1967-1969 with Paul Kurzbach in Chemnitz (then Karl-Marx-Stadt). From 1969 to 1975 he studied composition and piano at the Leipzig Academy of Music, among others with Wilhelm Weismann, Siegfried Thiele and Fritz Geißler. Afterwards he was master student of Siegfried Matthus at the Berlin Academy of Arts. From 1987 to 1992, Pfundt was senior assistant and lecturer, from 1992 until his retirement in 2016 he was professor of composition and compositional composition at the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig.
