Commercial performance

[edit]

The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, becoming Scarface's sole album to reach that position; it also peaked atop the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for two weeks, giving him his second number one album on that chart. The album sold 169,000 copies in its first week,[11] and was certified Platinum by the RIAA on May 16, 1997.[12]

The album's lead single "Smile", featuring 2Pac, reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is Scarface's only single to go Gold.[13]
