Secaucus, New Jersey

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edit to Secaucus, New Jersey, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edit had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept unsourced material or original research. This includes material lacking cited sources, or obtained through personal knowledge or unpublished syntheses of previously published material. Wikipedia requires that all material added to articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable sources explicitly cited in the text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. If you have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Recent Edit

Hello-

My name is Eric Kauffman and my name was being used erroneously on the KZIQ-FM page. I tried to remove it but it was overruled. I know the station is now a Hot AC station and does not have any of the programming listed with my name. Also it is not being operated by me and my wife (Kim Kauffman). We have a new station and I look forward to creating a page for that one.

Thank you!!

Atlantic College page edit

Hi, BillGates27. I wanted to let you know that you did make a mistake in undoing my edits to the Atlantic College page as it was, in fact, constructive. I deleted traditions which no longer exist e.g. writer in residence and added those which do e.g. showerings and end of codes. I'd appreciate if you changed it back to my edited version. Thanks!Michael.R.Manning (talk) 01:08, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

pling toys

Hi - can you let me know what the issue is with placing an external link to Pling toys on the Bett page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BETT

I planned to explain what Pling toys is as well.

The above looks like another sock account of Mangoeater1000. 76.102.49.177 (talk) 06:50, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Wouldn't have caught that without you pointing it out. The incident has been reported. Bailmoney27 (talk) 06:55, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And the account is already blocked. I probably wouldn't have caught it either if I hadn't been watching his edits yesterday. 76.102.49.177 (talk) 07:05, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'll probably keep an eye on that article from now on. Seems he's had at least eight different accounts that he's trying to use. Bailmoney27 (talk) 07:08, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just for heads-up, the IP 76.102.49.177 was blocked because of disruptive editing and then it was found to be a sockpuppet. See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Iamthemuffinman--Klskid (talk) 22:45, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
IP 76.102.49.177 was blocked for making two re-insertion reverts of COPYVIO material on the article VLC Media Player, but the SPI was inconclusive and the IP may be blameless in that regard. However, Klskid was determined to be yet another sock puppet of Mangoeater1000. Regards, AzureCitizen (talk) 05:29, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm still confused as to why IP 76.102.49.177 was banned. It seems like they were too strict and acted too quickly on the matter. Bailmoney27 (talk) 05:35, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's actually a block, not a ban, for a 1-week period, coming one month after a prior 24-hour block for edit warring. It may be overturned shortly after the blocking admin returns to re-examine the evidence, based on the conversations taking place on the IP's talk page. Assuming good faith, it appears the IP didn't realize the material was copyrighted. Regards, AzureCitizen (talk) 05:51, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a personal attack template with twitter? {{subst:uw-attack1}}? Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 08:28, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not 100% sure. What are you referring to? Bailmoney27 (talk) 08:31, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Users attacking other editors (such as what was done on your user page and Talk:List of UFC events are best warned with Template:Uw-npa1 rather than templage:uw-vand1. Lets a blocking admin know what's going on. Nothing major. Thanks for minding the fort! Jim1138 (talk) 08:38, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oop, sorry. I'm kind of new to this whole Wikipedia moderating thing. Thanks for the heads-up! Bailmoney27 (talk) 08:40, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove!

I am Tony's daughter. I don't know who created this page obviously does not know him. The photo is insulting. The desciption of his occupation is also incredibly insulting. Whoever wrote it picked out a fragment of his life whilst in the Footlights and non of his real achievments or life history. Is there any way this can be removed?? if we wanted a wiki page on him it would be done by someone who knows him or by himself, rather than a simplistic and frankly insulting page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Modernartdiva (talkcontribs) 20:47, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your concern. The content on Tony Buffery meets the requirements for biographies on Wikipedia; it holds a neutral point of view, is verifiable, and contains no original research. The content you created on the article contained original research that was not verified with sources or references of any sort. If you would like to add information to the article, please provide trusted, verifiable sources and ensure that the article maintains a neutral point of view. If you request help, please place the template {{Help me}} on your talk page, followed by your question. Bailmoney27 (talk) 20:56, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
As I said in the previous message the photo and occupation description is incorrect and insulting. The information given is not complete. I am not computer literate, and have no real passion to become so...all I am asking is that this page is removed because as it is, it is insulting to him and his family. I tried to change aspects to make it more honest but as you know this did not work. replies like the one you just gave me is not helpful....I am really not interested enough or have enough respect in this site to rewrite the article....however i am requesting that it is removed asap. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Modernartdiva (talkcontribs) 21:08, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I see no reason to delete this article as it does not violate any policies of Wikipedia. However, I will bring it to an administrator's attention. Bailmoney27 (talk) 21:10, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at the article as an uninvolved editor, I agree with Bailmoney. There is absolutely no reason for the article to be deleted, as it is sourced properly. For information, please see information about what a reliable source is.

Speedy deletion converted to PROD: The Adventures of LiLi and Zambo

Hello Bailmoney27. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on The Adventures of LiLi and Zambo to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 22:28, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Porta Hotel Antigua

what should I do to publish the correction that I made to the Porta Hotel Antigua's page in Wikipedia? the actual is really poor and is not true because the hotel does have more than 77 rooms and I would like to add more information. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anajutoledo6 (talkcontribs) 02:57, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to Porta Hotel Antigua included original research which is against Wikipedia's editing policies. Please back up your additions by using trusted, reliable sources and confirm that your additions are verifiable. If you are editing on behalf of the hotel, please note that this is strongly discouraged as it represents a conflict of interest. You may not cite yourself for any reason. Lauravecch

I was a little concerned at how you dealt with the edits of this new user. First, it is difficult to see how removing a speedy deletion tag constitutes vandalism, as you implied through your use of Twinkle. It is against policy, but that does not make it vandalism. Secondly, I don't understand why you used a level 3 warning for a "first offence". That is what Level 1 warnings are for. Please consider WP:BITE when dealing with these types of edits. Having said that, thanks for your vandal-fighting work. — This, that, and the other (talk) 05:44, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification ?

Hi Bailmoney27. I noticed you warned Pupu1234 about adding promotional material to Wikipedia's main page's talk page. Just so I have a better understanding of how things work, is there a reason you didn't warn Shashicsp and KatelynMajor for similar violations? Thanks. Robvanvee (talk) 08:06, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! I haven't been monitoring that Talk page recently. Mostly what I do is monitor the first 250 new users on the User creation log and verify that their edits are valid and that they are not promotional or vandalism-only accounts. If you do see promotional material on the Talk page, feel free to revert it and warn the user. (A good tool to use for this is Twinkle.) Let me know if you have any more questions. File permission problem with File:Andrea Figallo, 2013.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Andrea Figallo, 2013.jpg, which you've sourced to http://wiseguys.de/pressegalerie/. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Dianna (talk) 00:12, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Treehouse logo, blue.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Treehouse logo, blue.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:41, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Roads in Ireland

Hi,

I changed the name of the Country from Republic of Ireland to Ireland because that is the name of the state. Republic of Ireland is only a description, see here,,, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_Ireland

thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Loewiki (talkcontribs) 22:51, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. The article you are changing is already correct without revision. It states that the island of Ireland is comprised of the countries of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. You are changing it to say the island is comprised of a country and the island itself. Hope this explains why we're reverting the edit. Bailmoney27 talk 22:55, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

October 2013

Hi Bailmoney. Please see WP:DTR and make sure you're using the right kind of notice template if you decide to use one, since my edit was clearly not a test. In any case, I had replaced the template in the Ben Sherman article because most articles about fashion labels already use Template:Infobox company and just four other pages were using the Fashion Label infobox. I thought this was uncontroversial, but since you seem to oppose this change it might be better to discuss the matter at TfD.--eh bien mon prince (talk) 17:04, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Written English

You write, "I may use British English, but I'm Amurican. I have my reasons for using British English though. Feel free to ask me."
Well ... I'm asking.
— | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The Welsh | Buzzard| — 21:29, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hm, you're the first one to ask. Well, I studied in an international school in Germany for quite some time and British English was used in our classes (as is the norm in the European Union). Guess I picked it up there and it just stuck with me. Wish I could have a better answer for you! Bailmoney27 talk 21:32, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
On the contrary, that is an excellent explanation, but doesn't it get you into problems now you are in the US?
— | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The Welsh | Buzzard| — 22:05, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I try to avoid it in written communications for work. I set my Pages spellcheck to American so it corrects it for me, but in just casual conversation, people don't really notice or they just ignore it. So I try to keep important things in American English as best I can. Sometimes I slip. Bailmoney27 talk 22:23, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
