Two-time defending champions Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury defeated Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden in the final, 2–6, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2023 US Open. They became the first team to win three consecutive US Open titles in the Open Era.[1]

At 43 years and six months, Bopanna became the oldest men's doubles Major finalist in the Open Era, surpassing Daniel Nestor's record of 43 years and four months at the 2016 Australian Open.[2]

Austin Krajicek regained the ATP No. 1 doubles ranking at the end of the tournament after Neal Skupski lost in the third round.

This was the last tour-level professional appearance of former world No. 1 players and multiple-time Major champions Robert Farah and Juan Sebastián Cabal; they lost in the second round.[3] It was also the last professional event for Olympic gold medalist and four-time major doubles champion Jack Sock, who lost in the first round.[4]
