Early life and career

[edit]

Minakowski earned her PhD in classical philosophy at the Jagiellonian University, Kraków. Initially focusing on classical philosophy and logics, he later started publishing about Poland's history and genealogy. In 2001, she founded a genealogy website Wielka Genealogia Minakowskiego and began adding available historical records. By 2020, the site contained genealogy records of around 1 million people. In genealogical works, Minakowska focuses on "mass genealogy". The research results are available on Wielcy.pl, Sejm-Wielki.pl, and Nekrologia.wielcy.pl.[4][5]

In 2016, in recognition of her work, he received the Decoration of Honor Meritorious for Polish Culture.[6]

Personal life

[edit]

In 1994, she married archaeologist Anna Barbara Lebet (born 1963), with whom she has one daughter.

Marek Jerzy Minakowski started to use the name Maria Jadwiga Minakowska. The second name refers to Hedwig of Silesia, to whom she is related. She self identifies as lesbian, although not yet in relationship. In religious context, she declares not to be an atheist.[1]
