Also, partly by expanding the noun phrase "this act" to "this act of generosity", since otherwise the word "act" could mean a law [it might "refer to" a certain law].

Although this "ref" tag does not include (it does not use) a "{{cite ***}}" template instance, it does contain -- (in an informal way) -- fields that are "like" the fields for author, title, publisher, and [the "year' portion of the] date. The "title" had a minor TYPO or misspelling. ((<!-- The spelling "Lipsomes" was apparently a TYPO -->)). The actual source says: "Liposomes". current

The only URL shown in the previous version of that "ref" tag (for that footnote) pointed to a web page on the "en.idi.org.il" website, which -- (as now noted in a "quote" field value) -- was a reprinting (or republishing), from the original publisher. The original publisher (which is now correctly stated in the updated version of that "ref" tag) was: "The Forward". current

  • 16:0316:03, 26 December 2024 diff hist +36 m Sherman, Texas History: In the sentence ending with "and in 1911 purchased the Denison and Sherman Railway", add a hyperlink pointing to "Northern Texas Traction Company". Note that the company's name is displayed [the same as before] as just "[T]he Texas Traction Company", (without the word "Northern"). Both versions of that name (with and without the word "Northern") probably refer to the same company, since there is no *hat note*, at the top of the article about that (Northern Texas) "Company". current
  • 07:0707:07, 26 December 2024 diff hist +15 m Jewish Museum (Manhattan) History: (Bypass a #REDIRECT, and) make it more clear to readers, that the "See also" reference {{See also|Jews in New York City}} was already pointing to the article "History of the Jews in New York City" -- [via a redirect, if not directly] -- even when it was coded (and shown) as "{{See also|Jews in New York City}}". By changing the template instance to "{{See also|History of the Jews in New York City}}", it is clear that the article pointed to, is "History of the Jews in New York City". current

[7], and to reduce [the risk of] any possible ambiguity. Also, in the sentence that mentions that "the Jewish population of New York City has" increased "in the 21st century", add the word "other" right before "Orthodox", in order to avoid implying that *any* "Hasidic" Jews are "non-" Orthodox. current

  • 21:1521:15, 18 December 2024 diff hist +33 Congregation Emanu-El of New York top: Small changes to the wording of the last sentence of the first paragraph. The use of the word "synagogue" to refer to a building is not the only sense of that word. Sometimes the word "synagogue" is used to refer to a congregation. In addition, the use of a phrase such as "temple <name of the temple>" is not limited to talking about a temple * * * building; * * * sometimes, that phrase is used -- at least, in informal conversation -- when talking about [="referring to"] a congregation.

The use of the present perfect would (and it did) imply that the events mentioned were "ongoing or recently completed".
  • 07:0107:01, 15 December 2024 diff hist +262 The Emerging Democratic Majority footnote number [1]: Modify the "ref" tag for footnote number [1]. Change the value of the "title" field (of the {{cite web}} template instance) to be more in agreement with what it actually says [for the "title"] on the web page that is pointed to by that footnote. Also add values for new fields such as "access-date" and "author". Also do the same for an "archive-url" field (and the related fields that are required to go with it) even though the "| url-status" value is: (currently) "live".

Also (based on the 'QUOTE': "She plans to begin in the role April 1." from the "reliable source" web page that is "linked to" from that footnote), change "As of 2023" to "As of April 2023", at the beginning of the sentence that includes (and relies upon, and is supported by) that footnote.

The section that "WAS" called "#Multivesicular body" does not exist any more. Best guess re the change. current Tag: Redirect target changed

NOTE that doing so required changing the "ref" tag to use [something like] a "{{cite web}}" template instance, hence having to add -- (in most cases, "partially") -- some other fields, ... such as "publisher", where the field VALUE was already there, (in the "ref" tag), but the field NAME was absent -- (even from the wikitext) -- before this update.

In such a case, "Moralistic Therapeutic Deist" could be a xenonym.

  • 16:1616:16, 18 November 2024 diff hist −14 Virtual community top: SOME, (maybe most) of the changes made "13:53, 24 November 2023" (see [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Virtual_community&diff=prev&oldid=1186682424 the DIFF] have already been reverted; but (imho) ALL of them were of little or no (or, ... NEGATIVE!) value, and today I found TWO that still had not been restored to the status quo ante. Even if the damage was not "intentional" vandalism, THAT EDIT did not add (IMHO, it subtracted!) value. Hence, this belated (partial) "revert"!

  • 04:5304:53, 17 November 2024 diff hist +500 m Justin Welby Food banks: The previous "edit comment" had a mistake. It should have said << change the last 3 words from "a decade ago" to "a decade before" >>.This edit does NOT affect the "as displayed" text of the article. This edit only adds a comment, which [a] does NOT affect the displayed text of the article, but it [b] does allow this 'explanation' to be added to the list of 'edit comments', ... those comments which appear -- (under "Compare selected revisions") when one clicks on "View history".
  • 04:2504:25, 17 November 2024 diff hist +3 Justin Welby Food banks: In the sentence starting "In December 2014", change the last 3 words from "a decade before" to "a decade ago". Even though some readers MIGHT be able to figure out that the appropriate interpretation of the words "a decade ago" would probably be relative to the time when that sentence was *written* (namely ... probably some time close to "December 2014"), there is some potential for confusion; especially now, when "December 2014" and "a decade ago" are soon to become synonymous.

  • 15:0915:09, 12 November 2024 diff hist +8 University of Austin History: Two changes to the wording in the sentence that mentions "not clarifying" [and] "what their advisory roles entailed". It was not intentional to imply, in that sentence. that the clarifying did not (eventually) occur. As for the change of prepositions (from "for" to "by"), a check of the reliable source [see the footnote at the end of that sentence] will show that "by" is what was meant. The word "for" does appear (correctly) a few words away, which may have led to a [pseudo?] TYPO.

  • 12:4012:40, 11 November 2024 diff hist −1 Lomo saltado Description: Change the verb "are" to "is". The noun which serves as the "subject" for this "predicate" is the word "use". The noun "use" is not plural; so ... the verb should not be plural. The linguistic rule that causes this to be the grammatically correct wording is called "subject / predicate agreement in number" -- where the word "number", there, has a meaning that involves a subject or a predicate being singular or plural. [A "mass" noun (which is neither) goes with a singular verb].

The only "important" change here and now, is the ONE change: to add "| url-status = dead" to this "ref" tag. Most of [the rest of] the changes in this edit are un-important, and those 'other' changes are made necessary only by the need to use a "{{cite web}}" template instance, IN ORDER TO [be able to] insert the one important change, (the addition of "| url-status = dead").

As of "before" (and maybe even 'during') spring training, those "rule changes" may not have "taken effect" [completely]; but once the 2024 regular season had started, those "rule changes" were definitely in use -- 100%.
