Union Pacific 4-10-2

[edit]

Information I omitted from the 4-10-2 article since it rather belongs in a locomotive-specific article. Stored here for easy retrieval when needed.

Cartazzi axle not a Bissel truck

[edit]

A Cartazzi axle is not a type of Bissel truck. It is not a truck at all; it does not pivot. Instead the axle has side play constrained by inclined planes that provide a centering force. Matthew Brown (Morven) (T:C) 01:16, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
