Do you think you have enough USELESS abbreviations and acronyms that NO ONE gives a damn about?? Give us a break NATO! Speak in English (or French even), but please get rid of some of those useless abbreviations! And really, do you think NATO is so important that practically every phrase has unnecessary capital letters thrown in at random on idiotic common nouns like "Transformation"? Get a grip. I helped you out a bit, but I'm tired now.

Besides, NATO's a fricken paper tiger anymore anyway. Twenty-six nations??? Boy that must make consensus a little difficult to achieve, huh? Heck, why not invite Japan and South Africa in. Oh, but you'd better start thinking about changing your name again. Those would be a bit of a stretch when talking about the North Atlantic, huh? I know, how about calling yourself the "UN's force when we feel like it"?

A response..

[edit]

I think people would take more notice of what you said if you signed in. But to deal with your points, everybody in the business uses the abbreviations; if civilians want to talk to the military associated with the Organisation and be taken seriously, they have to at least know them. And wikipedia is about more knowledge. Unnecessary capitalisation... yes, good point. I'll do some fixing as well.

Consensus with 27? Try consensus with 50 odd in the African Union, or, worse still in the UN with ~193!! Cheers Buckshot06 08:51, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Joint Command Lisbon.gif

[edit]

Image:Joint Command Lisbon.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
