General rank?
[edit]Why does wikipedia shows his rank is general instead of CDS? I think General and CDS are different ranks and CDS is a rank higher than general. Roninbruv (talk) 02:20, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
- This is Because CDS is a post and General is a military rank. Both are two different things. SSG123 (talk) 13:36, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
Why mention him as the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staffs Committee when we already mention him as the CDS?
[edit]Why do we have to mention General Anil Chauhan as the Chairman of the COSC when he is already the CDS? Why this anomaly? SSG123 (talk) 13:39, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
Change the word "martyred"
[edit]Under the heading Return to Military Service and subheading Chief of Defense Staff, the first line mentions that General Bipin was martyred in the crash, but the crash happened due to some technical failures. The word martyr means "to put to death for adhering to a belief, faith, or profession." So the word martyred is not appropriate and the word "died" should be used Harvici (talk) 08:25, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
- Done. Clearly the IP editor misunderstood the meanings of the words "died" and "martyred".-- Toddy1 (talk) 08:46, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
