This passage from source 105 is worded poorly, making the statement incorrect. It currently reads:
"At the 2004 Republican National Convention, Schwarzenegger gave a speech and explained that he was a Republican because he believed the Democrats of the 1960s sounded too much like Austrian socialists."[105]
After reviewing the source material, the passage should read as follows:
"At the 2004 Republican National Convention, Schwarzenegger gave a speech and explained that he was a Republican because he believed the Democrats sounded too much like Austrian socialists of the 1960s."[105]
He referenced that present day Democrats sound like Austrian Socialists and he talks about being in Austria in the 1960s. He does not bring up Democrats of the 1960s. 50.27.174.180 (talk) 23:53, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Having read through it a few times, I think the current wording is correct. He's talking about what happened in 1968. He listened to (his friend's translation of) Humphrey, then heard (his friend's translation of) Nixon, and decided to be a Republican. So it was the 1968 Democratic nominee that reminded him of Austrian socialists. Schazjmd(talk)00:01, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The Guardian article doesn't say that he was involved in the founding of the Climate Group. The original statement in the article is "... a meeting in Long Beach organised by Steve Howard, CEO of the Climate Group, an international charity working to cut greenhouse gas emissions...". I want to add the Kids Choice Award for Favourite Movie Actor in Awards for Arnold Schwarzenegger, but when I add it and test preview, it replaces some links with this: “The time allocated for running scripts has expired.” What does that mean and how an I doing to add the link to the page? Movieknower59 (talk) 03:49, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I put it back but tagged it as "usurped" which prevents the original link from being seen and forces the archive link, which is valid, to be used. Geraldo Perez (talk) 07:56, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
