Otto Dietrich

[edit]

Otto Dietrich was a Reichsleiter, the Nazi Party Press Chief, State Secretary in the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda and Obergruppenführer of the SS. Actually I can't believe someone [1] tries to use him as a WP:RS. And just in case you read this: WP:SCHOLARSHIP, WP:PRIMARY, WP:BIASED are the obvious rlevant policies. 2003:D2:B70A:C6D0:7999:CE18:B4D3:985D (talk) 07:36, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Year of birth: 1906 or 1908?

[edit]

Google and ChatGPT put the year of birth at 1906; two years earlier as mentioned on Wikipedia. That was corrected but the panel calculating the number of years lived did not update. Tarpal (talk) 17:49, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've researched this a while ago, and it is definitely 1908. Berlin birth and marriage records (accessible online via Ancestry) show that she was born as Brigitte Gisela Eva Schittenhelm on March 17, 1908 in Schöneberg, which was at that point still an independent suburb of Berlin (it became a part of Berlin in 1920). The details are at Wikidata d:Q76813. --Rosenzweig (talk) 16:58, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
