He later learned that Mr. Mumbles is a female while facing technology

[edit]

What was this sentence supposed to say? Fotoguzzi (talk) 18:42, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Every episode is centered around Dan getting revenge on something after feeling wronged or taking active measures against what he thinks is a threat. Mr. Mumbles is the name of Dan's cat. While I don't remember when he learned the gender of the cat, I think it is safe to say the sentence means he learned the gender in the episode he was fighting against technology. However, upon looking at Mr. Mumbles' page on the Dan Vs. Wiki, I am not entirely sure this is true, as that page claims Dan learns the gender of his cat in the episode Art. http://dan-vs.wikia.com/wiki/Mr._Mumbles --99.160.164.162 (talk) 00:51, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dan Vs. will be canceled when the Hub Network says it will be canceled.

[edit]

The user, User:103.6.87.121, keeps adding unsourced content to the Dan Vs. page and keeps adding that the show will be canceled when the Hub Network says it will be canceled. He's on the verge of violating the three-revert rule and starting an edit war. AdamDeanHall (talk) 14:13, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Where's the source that says it's cancelled? All there is within the article is Curtis Armstrong posting on his Facebook specifically that the series is not cancelled, but rather on hiatus (but it feels like being cancelled) so shouldn't the article reflect that, and have the end date changed back to "present", while the sentence in the lead section be changed to "The series has spanned three seasons thus far, which aired on the Hub Network from January 1, 2011 to March 9, 2013"?--Jonny Manz (talk) 20:41, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Curtis Armstrong feels the show has been cancelled. If you ask the network, they say it's on hiatus and is coming back. So basically this page is taking the word of an actor whose only job on the show is to show up and read lines. He is not a producer, not with the network or the studio. He was stating his opinion and this page has taken that as gospel. That's why user User:103.6.87.121 keeps amending. There is no editing war, just a desire for the full facts to be represented. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.85.51.246 (talk) 20:19, 2 December 2013 (UTC) Actually, I've just found a source where The Hub themselves have stated Dan Vs. isn't cancelled: http://dan-vs.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Mother-zombie/JUST_so_we%27re_ALL_CLEAR 216.195.228.107 (talk) 21:35, 3 January 2014 (UTC) Just because AdamDeanHall thinks a show is cancelled because an actor got sick of being bothered by nerds on his Facebook page, then it must be so despite what everyone involved on the production of the show has said since. How scientific. Here are the facts: As much as he'd like to believe he has an inside track on television, this guy who has a hard on to cancel the show prematurely has no leg to stand on. When contacted, the Hub says that it is NOT cancelled and they hope to be back in production soon. Film Roman has an even bigger reason to not cancel: the show has made 53 episodes, where 65 is the magic number for syndication. Seeing as they have a larger stake in the show than they do the other productions at the studio, they have a vested financial interest to get out AT LEAST 12 more episodes out, whether on the Hub or not. And like all things being worked out with lawyers, it takes awhile. I'm sorry that the law and show business runs too slowly for AdamDeanHall, but his notions are not based in reality, they are based on the Facebook page assumptions of an actor who is not on the producer side of the show. Curtis Armstrong is an amazing actor, but on this show he shows, stands in a booth, reads off of a script, and goes home. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Churchofdan (talkcontribs) 00:08, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Churchofdan, please do sign your post by typing four tildes first. Now coming to the topic, The present content states that the show has been cancelled according to this source where a person himself says that It has been cancelled, for the baffling and inexplicable reasons that shows like Dan Vs get cancelled. I can't really explain it because it has never been explained to me. But as Churchofdan said, show is not cancelled according this source and removing present content from the page. this source is based on blogs where some one else from the actual person states that There will be NO saying things like "THE SHOW IS CANCELED" without having evidence from a proper source. But according to WP:SELFPUB which has five criteria also states that This policy also applies to pages on social networking websites such as Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook. But according to the present condition, no authentic source has been found which say's that show has been cancelled or show has not been cancelled. Please avoid making edit war until you gets reliable source that identify the correct situation. Thank you. A.Minkowiski _Lets t@lk 12:36, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You keep adding the 4th season to premiere on the Cartoon Network.

[edit]

For some reason, you keep adding the 4th season to premiere on the Cartoon Network when there isn't a reliable source found on the Internet. Before you start an edit war about this, can't we reach some kind of consensus? AdamDeanHall (talk) 22:39, 12 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is a pure hoax being perpetrated by one person. It isn't even plausible. There is no reliable source to be found because this is pure invention. Geraldo Perez (talk) 21:19, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite Protection of Dan Vs.

[edit]

please, you can protect the Dan Vs. page indefinitely because most of users are vandalizing it. 181.31.202.101 (talk) 00:26, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Also protect the List of episodes page indefinitely. 181.31.202.101 (talk) 00:27, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'd give you the link where protection requests should go, but this page has been under semi-protection for almost the last two weeks and there have been only two edits in that time. Neither of them was vandalism. Meters (talk) 02:37, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
i agreed, the reason to semi-protect the page indefinitely is because most users are added false rumors about the return of Dan Vs. and the new home called Cartoon Network, there is no source and the page will semi-protected indefinitely instead of expiring in January 2015, please, protect the page indefinitely. 181.31.202.101 (talk) 02:42, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I misunderstood. I was thinking full protection rather than indefinite semi. Indefinite protection requires endemic and endless vandalism problems which multiple increasing periods of temporary semi-protection or pending changes have failed to stop. I don't know that we're there yet, but if the edits continue after this protection ends, the place to make the case would be WP:RFPP, not here on the article's talk page. Meters (talk) 03:00, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
i have that request in this article, you can to protect the page indefinitely. 181.129.161.181 (talk) 00:07, 21 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
More effective is if the major source of the hoax info added to the page and other related ones, who curiously has the same geo location as the above 2 ips, one of whom is currently blocked for vandalism, would just stop it we wouldn't need to have the page protected at all. I think WP:NOTHERE applies including deliberate disruption. Geraldo Perez (talk) 00:49, 21 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I was giving him more rope... I can't believe he actually did ask for protection. Meters (talk) 01:03, 21 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism Reverts

[edit]

User talk: 50.21.176.89 is adding unsourced content to the article, and is repeatedly reverted by a lot of users. The user repeatedly reverted back and has potentially violated the 3RR. If the mentioned user think that his edit does not appear to be nonconstructive, please discuss it on the talk page instead of edit warring. Edit warring may result in the restriction of editing. If you have questions, please notify me on my talk page. Thanks for your attention. WikiAviator (talk) 02:34, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 8 January 2022

[edit]

In the Episodes section, change Season 3 First Aired date from "November 17, 2011" to "November 17, 2012". Other sources on the same article and the Episodes article have the correct date of 2012. Jefferlope (talk) 18:06, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. The sources on the page currently state that the show first aired in 2011. 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 19:30, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
