POV

[edit]

"Many Web pages contain language similar to 'Francesca Woodman has to be my favorite photographer ever'."
One random photographer's webpage does not validate the truth of this statement and seemed extremely non-NPOV to me, so I removed the line. Avman89 (talk) 23:23, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Is it OK to remove broken links to Woodman's photographs? I can also try to find currently working links. Any guidelines on which links can be used and which can't (if any)? Thanks Antonella (talk) 13:02, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment

[edit]

Congratulations to the contributors to this well-researched and comprehensively documented article. It is disappointing to see it characterized as a "stub" when it clearly is not. I believe this article merits a rating of "Good Article" or higher. Approfondir (talk) 07:12, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. This is far more than a stub page. --FeralOink (talk) 09:36, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Was She a Lesbian?

[edit]

Am curious if her broken relationship was with a man or a woman?98.87.30.50 (talk) 03:42, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No. She had many relationships, but you're probably referring to Benjamin, who seems to have been a significant figure in her life. TerryToogood (talk) 01:57, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Woodmans film review status

[edit]

I have corrected the film review information to the most current available in regards to rotten tomatoes. Please do not alter without verifying that your info is up to date. Also, when a film's overall review is mostly positive on rotten tomatoes, both from critics and users, it is not appropriate to try to describe a consensus with a negative quote like a previous user has done. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.65.132.248 (talk) 23:15, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Photoshopped portrait

[edit]

I noticed that the portrait photograph of Francesca at the top of the page is a crop of a photo of her and her then boyfriend Benjamin. The cropped photo has an extended Francesca's left shoulder to obscure Benjamin's shoulder. It has been photoshopped to extend her dress. One can clearly see the telltale duplicate pattern. This would seem to fly in the face of Francesa's pure photographic work and aesthetic, so I would suggest a different portrait photograph.

Works

[edit]

Given that both her parents are now deceased (2017 and 2018), the paragraph about them keeping her negatives and managing her estate is out of date. StuZealand (talk) 15:30, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
