This article is factually incorrect and is assuming that Global will take over GCap. In fact, the board of GCap has only recommended the offer to shareholders, and this does not mean the takeover is complete (see here). Neither company's website makes reference to a confirmed takeover. This article should be restored until a later date. Oxfordmale (talk) 11:38, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Globotech

[edit]

Do a search for 'Globotech' on Digital Spy. Possibly almost as many instances as 'Global Radio'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.67.79.238 (talk) 17:04, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Recession" based closures scam

[edit]

It is interesting to note that before the recession, GWR/GCAP/Capital/.../Global/... were not able to consolidate radio stations/news/production facilities as they wished due to licence restrictions by Ofcom.

Now, under the pretence of "we'll go bust otherwise" they are shedding employees and facilities they would otherwise have been forced to keep, and it appears that there is nothing Ofcom is prepared to do to stop this fakery. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.218.215.119 (talk) 15:04, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Box

[edit]

Not sure what to call those boxes at the bottom of pages, but can one be added to this article?

It would make it easier seeing the ontology between Globals Radio stations, TV channels, Events, Academy, Awards, and Charity.

Just like how it is with rival companies pages like Bauer Media Group.

Danstarr69 (talk) 00:34, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Those boxes are called navbox. A new one would need to be created for this company, but I think the current box at the bottom already serves the purpose. Huon (talk) 01:05, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What does this mean?

[edit]

Global also owns and operates one of the leading Outdoor (OOH) companies in the UK through its Outdoor Division. No explanation or Wikilink for either "Outdoor" with a capital 'O' (which presumably means something other than "out of doors" in context, though what an "outdoor company" is is unclear), or "OOH". Perhaps the sentence should be deleted, particularly since "leading" is peacocky in the extreme. 2A00:23C5:2586:F701:1041:C705:D414:AB0 (talk) 22:35, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
