The result of the move request was: moved to Guinea-Bissau passport, which most people find agreeable (five of seven participants). (non-admin closure) Alakzi (talk) 11:23, 10 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Guinea-Bissauan passport → ? – Personally, I think all of the articles in Category:Passports by country should be in the format "Passport of [country name]" so we don't have to deal with demonyms. Per Talk:List of Bissau-Guineans#Requested move 15 July 2015, the correct demonym of someone from Guinea-Bissau is "Bissau-Guinean." Therefore, I would support a name change to either Passport of Guinea-Bissau or Bissau-Guinean passport. -- Tavix (talk) 16:51, 23 July 2015 (UTC) --Relisted. • I noticed that too. Personally, I think it's awkward so I'd prefer "Passport of Guinea-Bissau" but would support if if there are sources using that format. It begs the question though: what's more important, consistency or trying to figure out each country's WP:COMMONNAME for their passport? -- Tavix (talk) 02:43, 24 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think it's more important that article names be consistent among various topics about the same country, rather than a given topic across various countries. If reliable sources are happy using the name of a country as a noun adjunct, Wikipedia should follow suit, rather than demanding the use of opaque adjectives (e.g. Malagasy, Motswana), or incorrect ones ("Guinea-Bissauan"), or ones which are not used in the local WP:ENGVAR ("Vanuatuan"). FWIW, Wikipedia already has Guinea-Bissau peso and Guinea-Bissau Civil War. 58.176.246.42 (talk) 14:52, 24 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
"Guinea-Bissau" is a noun, not an adjective. RGloucester 05:10, 31 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And nowhere did I say it was an adjective. I said that in topic areas which usually follow the "Adjective x" format, both Wikipedia article titles and outside sources instead overwhelmingly use "Guinea-Bissau x" rather than "Bissau-Guinean x". 58.176.246.42 (talk) 06:34, 31 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
