/Austin ramp configurations

Untitled

[edit]

Wow... there is so much construction to change the locations of the slip ramps and strange configurations of said ramps near Austin. --NE2 21:46, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's for traffic and safety reasons. We've been meaning to do this for quite some time. Rapierman (talk) 03:59, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"IH" instead of just "I"?

[edit]

I recently came accross references to "IH-35", instead of the normal "I-35" abbreviation, and I see it's mentioned once in this article. Is this a Texas thing? Is it common? Why do they even do this... what's wrong with plain "I-35"? --Bigpeteb (talk) 15:45, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's perfectly normal. When the Interstate Highway system was first built, we did use the "IH" abbreviation (for "Interstate Highway"). Over time, the abbreviation morphed into the "I" that we currently use (for "Interstate"). Either way is okay.Rapierman (talk) 04:27, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Interstate 60...?????

[edit]

The article says that exit 292B is signed as I-60. There are no plans for an I-60 and no interstate currently numbered 60. Jdcomix (talk) 18:36, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
