Ain't Nobody's Business

[edit]

Dear Wiki community. Just came across the following reference on the Frank Stokes article page: Dan Sane rejoined Frank Stokes for the second day of the August 1928 session, and they produced a remarkable two-part version of Tain't Nobody's Business If I Do, a song well known in later versions by Bessie Smith and Jimmy Witherspoon, but whose origin lies somewhere in the pre-blues era.

Could someone please shed light on whether this, the above mentioned (Tain't ..) is in fact the same (or similar) to Witherspoon's great 1949 hit (Ain't ...). It makes no real difference either way - I still love Witherspoon's version, but it would be nice to set the record straight - that's what Wiki is all about, right? Thank you. 83.180.161.164 11:47, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
