Hilariously true. –Wulf 19:33, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What an unfortunate name.Artiste-extraordinaire 14:50, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously, this just doesn't fly nowadays for a town name. Too funny.70.189.135.98 (talk) 13:19, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I can't believe they won't rename their town. I live only about 10 miles north in Park Hills (which is what we changed our name to back in 94.) -iox —Preceding comment was added at 06:13, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm from western North Carolina where we have some pretty funny placenames: Lick log, Cowfuc road, Pinchgut, Charlie's Knob etc...After hearing those unfortunate names I thought it couldn't get any funnier..I was wrong. Knob Lick wins!---outintheRED (not signed in) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.119.226.143 (talk) 13:37, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, there is one place that gives Knob Lick a run for its money - That would be Big Bone Lick State Park in Kentucky. It's even located on Beaver Road near the town of Beaverlick (seriously, you can't make this stuff up).

Bravo to them, daring to keep a sexy town name in these prurient times... :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chaizzilla (talkcontribs) 19:00, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Due to its name, it has become a popular tourist attraction in recent years." I so wish this were true so that I could add it to the page. 98.15.203.22 (talk) 21:59, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why would we rename our town? There is absolutely nothing wrong with the name. I have lived in Knob Lick for 17 years now and it is a great place and a great name. I'm sure for the teenage kids it probably is a funny name because they try to get the brain thinking in other ways. I am proud to be a KNOB LICKER!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.105.128.58 (talk) 17:49, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've been there.

[edit]

Myself and two equally likewise Canadian wiseguys took a detour on a roadtrip for this rare photo-op. It took us ages to get a simple snap of us by the "Knob Lick" sign as an unending string of yahoos riding in the beds of pickups kept rambling past, glaring at us with more than a modicum of suspicion.

Good fun.

Article or Social Talk Page

[edit]

Didn't realize that Wikipedia turned into a social network. From the looks of the comments above this must be a not so watched page. Anyway, this article is desperately in need of a source. I can only find weather information. Would be nice if someone familiar with the area could lend a hand. --CaseTrains (talk) 02:30, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not to be confused with Knob Lick, KY.
