A fact from Mill Ruins Park appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 16 May 2007. The text of the entry was as follows:
|
Power Canal
[edit]"The tailraces from the waterpower canal are also clearly visible, and the water flow has been restored through the canal."
And "A fact from Mill Ruins Park ... Did you know? ... that the once-buried remains of a power canal ... have been unearthed" - above.
Don't know what that refers to. The Power Canal is buried its whole length. It is under the West River Parkway downstream from Portland. I suspect that visible water flow in tailrace area is storm water.
