Fear sentence

[edit]

The sentence: "Those who aren't afraid to die for their ideals, can only die once. The others die every day." at the beginning of the article was probably said by Giovanni Falcone, not by Paolo Borsellino. The complete sentence was: " Chi tace e chi piega la testa muore ogni volta che lo fa, chi parla e chi cammina a testa alta muore una volta sola. ". It could be traslated from Italian in this way: "Those Who are silent and keep their heads down die everytime they do so; The others, who speak and aren't afraid to die for their ideals and walk with their heads held high can die only once".

Sprint to make this article TFA on July 19

[edit]

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the assassination of Paolo Borsellino – a turning point in Italy's contemporary history and an event that is currently drawing major media attention as strong evidence is emerging that the murder was the result of a collaboration between the Sicilian Mafia and Italian institutions during the season of the 1992-1993 bombings. I was wondering whether we could gather enough momentum to make Borsellino's article Today's Featured Article on July 19. The timeline is very tight (the article is currently assessed as a start-class article) but there's plenty of material to make this article (and the associated article on the Massacre of Via D'Amelio) stand out. Anybody in? --DarTar (talk) 17:02, 11 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Good idea :). AndreaFox Knock here... 17:09, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
While some people are involved in creating beautiful things on Wikipedia, others rather create problems and delete, see here [1]. The image of Falcone and Borsellino is now up for deletion, nominated by yet another member of the Image Gestapo, unaware of the historic significance of the image (he probably did not even read the article). I am getting too tired to fight these insensitive idiots and probably will loose my temper and will be blocked, so if anyone feels up to it, please do try to save this image on Wikipedia. - DonCalo (talk) 17:20, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article is getting pretty far out on a limb with this kind of innuendo.Overagainst (talk) 21:29, 19 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Quotes

[edit]

Are quotes sections standard for this kind of article? Also they are uncited and the translations seem dubious to me. -- InspectorTiger (talk) 15:28, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Magistrate or judge

[edit]

A magistrate is a judge; Borsellino was a prosecutor, not a Court judge. Now, for most users of an English language Wikipedia, it looks like Borsellino was judging the trial, while he was part of the prosecution as an investigating judge. As you admit here you are having certain problems on editing articles related to law or legal profession, so @78.149.113.71 please do revert your edits. By the way, it would be useful if you would consider to properly registrate as a user, that would make the discussion a lot better to follow. - DonCalo (talk) 21:38, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It is better if you answer on your talk page. Judge doesn't mean court judge, theare are several categories of it. Magistrate is a volunteer.--2.96.180.227 (talk) 17:25, 19 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
