It was often originally reported that the band were from Birmingham, because they were based there when they started getting press and I'm pretty certain original press released falsely claimed them to be from Birmingham. It's quite common for bands to gravitate towards their nearest city. Their true origins are well documented and referenced. The fact none of the band have anything approaching a Brummie accent clinches it too!
