IP edits

[edit]

The number of IP editors continually changing his club to Nottingham Forest without a shred of evidence is getting ridiculous. I've requested semi-protection. --Jameboy (talk) 18:07, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First player since 1993

[edit]

Earnshaw "became the first player to move directly between the two clubs (Derby and Forest) since 1993", according to one recent edit. Can anyone find a citation for this? --Jameboy (talk) 14:06, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think I remember seeing the text somewhere at one point, but I can't remember exactly where, so feel free to leave it out for now, as it's not exactly massively critical to the article's completeness. I'll have a little look around. Dreaded Walrus t c 14:43, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Right! Found something, don't know if it's quite usable. The most relevant text I can find is in things relating to Kris Commons, which say he is (and "would be", in pre-transfer speculation) the first player to move from Forest to Derby since Gary Charles in 1993. [1] [2] [3] While we obviously know that Earnshaw ended up transferring before Commons, we don't know whether he was the first player to move between the two clubs since 1993, or if that is just a misinterpretation of the original newspieces. Obviously until we find a specific reference saying that no players moved between the two clubs since 1993, then it should stay out. Dreaded Walrus t c 14:58, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
