Template talk:CCSDS
This template needs to be created so that all of the CCSDS materials can be navigated to via a common interface at the bottom of each page.
Notes
- JPEG is only used by Cassini at this time for lossless compression according to http://www.ciclops.org/sci/docs/CassiniImagingScience.pdf
- There is imprecise information about Cassini specifically using Adaptive coding, however if Adaptive coding uses the Huffman compression scheme in any way then it clearly does.
- The Mars Rovers use ICER, and there are several good image compression research papers written about ICER for this reason. No other missions currently active use ICER.
