The Bogaert/MS/Lustucri case

[edit]

m:Vandalism reports/BogaertB, direct follow up in death threats here. It is not completely clear whether the death threats originated with the main vandal, there may have been two characters who were initially "working" together at least for a while.

The main vandal, who has been mainly active on WP:fr (file on WP:fr) finally got caught here further to this incident. After he was indef blocked, he resorted to various vandalisms with various threats and insults: here for instance.

The Rotarian affair

[edit]

Rotary International and certain related articles have a long history of issues with User:PierreLarcin and its sockpuppets. One only need to take a look at Talk:Rotary International to understand the problem that goes back to more than 2 years ago! Attempts to discuss with that contributor always failed miserably.

A while ago, he tried to defeat his opponents (all right wing activists and/or rotarians of course) with an Rfa (see the RfA on WP:en and the RfA on WP:fr). The RfA's were rejected for lack of previous discussion. PierreLarcin ended up indef blocked on Wp:fr and stopped editing under that name on WP:en.

Nevertheless, he continued editing under IP's who are rather easy to spot because the texts of PL are so typical they cannot be confused with anything else. He was the subject of a number of AN/I:

The answer of PL to calls for discussion is always personal attacks, and even if you take the greatest precautions not to adress his attacks and bring him back to the issues at discussion, PL never adresses the arguments raised in the discussion. It is quite remarkable as a matter of fact. I have already been confronted with discussions where there was bad faith, illogical arguements, non sequiturs and similar issues, but I had never met such a deliberate non-discussion with only permanent personal attacks (see this section of the talk page of the article for a recent example).

The personal attacks of PL are generally in the same range: the classical ones are accusing the opponents of being rotarians or conservative activists. But it does become strange or sick sometimes:

The IP's try to distance themselves from PierreLarcin (like in "we americans..."), but this kind of desperate attempt isn't too effective, as the IP's are from France.

All in all, a pathetic troll, but very disruptive.
