From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I love pro wrestling. I want to write good articles that follow Wikipedia rules, that mena, writing about real life people performing, not storylines of fictional characters. The following rules.

HOW I HANDLE WRESTLING ARTICLES

[edit]

Several pro wrestling articles have the same issues.

  • WP:IN-UNIVERSE. Many pro wrestling articles are written in kayfabe. We should avoid to include storylines of fictional storylines. Also, don't write fiction as real life events. There is no diference between "After the match, Suzuki attacked Okada" and "After the match CM Punk had a fight with The Elite". Or the famous "John Cena was stabbed in a bar" / "Bruiser Brody was stabbed in Puerto Rico".
  • Highlights. Biographies have to include key points and highlights of a wrestler career, not every PPV match they have. Try to summarize events, not a WP:PROSELINE of events.
  • WP:10YEARS. We should summarize articles written 10 years ago. With the amount of time, we can see what's notable and what's not.
  • Size. Over 10.000, Wikipedia says we have to create another article. With all in universe, detailed storylines and PPV matches, many articles are over that limit.
  • Challenges: Challenges aren't relevant. Title matches are notable, a wrestler calling other wrestler it's not.
  • "turn for the first time since..." I hate that sentence. Unless it's highlighted by sources, no need to include the first turn un 2 years.

Policies to follow

[edit]

MOS:HYPOCORISM. Don't include Michael "Mike" or something like that. WP:ROLEBIO Most notable profession, no jsut every job a wrestled had.
