Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is a 2015 top-down shooter game developed by Dennaton Games and published by Devolver Digital. It takes place before, during, and after the events of Hotline Miami, focusing on the aftermath of Jacket's massacres against the Russian mafia in Miami at the order of anonymous messages left on his answering machine. The game was announced to be in development less than a month after the original game released, and released worldwide in March 2015. The game received mostly positive reviews from critics, though was banned in Australia due to a controversial cutscene depicting a woman being sexually assaulted by the player character.
