About your edit to Armenian Alphabet

[edit]

Hi, I saw you spent (presumably) a LOT of time on properly linking IPA symbols to their respective sounds on Armenian alphabet at this diff [1].

However, I have bad news for you, there was a much, much faster way to do this that you did not know about - it's the {{IPAlink}} template and it works like this. {{IPAlink|`sound you want to link to`}}. You can also automatically put brackets or slashes around it by using IPAslink or IPAblink.

Personally I just go into source edit mode and use ctrl + f and replace {{IPA| with {{IPAlink| (if the symbols are in IPA fields, otherwise I just put a character there like \ and use ctrl+f on it instead). This takes about 1-2 minutes, depending on if the template doesn't recognise some symbols.

I hope this helps your future edits! Stan traynor (talk) 18:28, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
