Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Demographics of Africa, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 23:14, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Arequipa belleza! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Castillo San Felipe del Morro several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Castillo San Felipe del Morro, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 17:23, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I just wanted to let yo know that Pepallis (the editor you had an issue with on the Spanish Empire article) has been blocked as a block evading sock of Norprobr. I would revert all of their edits on that article per WP:BRV, but unfortunately, some content was added in between and I don't want to risk removing what was added by others. If you know the subject, then I suggest you do it and keep the article in your watchlist as they'll surely be back. Best, M.Bitton (talk) 23:38, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Historical population charts country articles

[edit]

Pls review WP:COUNTRYCHARTS Moxy- 00:44, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please do not add images and diagrams that are completely illegible in the article. The population pyramids you are adding are impossible to read when attached to an article as thumbnails forcing the readers to click into them to understand them. Images, charts and diagrams should be legible in article view. Canterbury Tail talk 11:38, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Control copyright icon Hello Arequipa belleza! Your additions to Salamanca have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:46, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Diannaa: No Dianna, I just translated everything from wikipedia version in Spanish [1]. Still in 2016, wikipedia in Spanish had the same version [2], and even a few years earlier. I demand that it be revised please.--Arequipa belleza (talk) 22:02, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the mistake. It's okay to copy/translate from other Wikipedias, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. It's also required under the terms of the license. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa (talk) 00:53, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Diannaa: Thank you for resolving it fairly, I put it that it was translated on the Talk page of the article.--Arequipa belleza (talk) 00:57, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
