Oh, and I noticed you edit without using an edit summary, you really should as it helps other editors when looking through the history. Lots of people are uptight about it, just thought I'd let you know. I posted one of those nifty welcome templates below too. Happy editing! : )A mcmurray 18:06, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]
Hi, Calineed , and Welcome to Wikipedia!

Welcome to Wikipedia!   I hope you enjoy the encyclopedia and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the simplified ruleset. Of the many ways to get help on Wikipedia, I personally recommend our wiki-boot camp, where you can chat online with fellow Wikipedians willing to help, or see some of the resources on WP:Wc!

Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have, on [[User talk:{{{2}}}|my talk page]] - I'm happy to help.

Here are some more resources to help you as you explore and contribute to the world's largest encyclopedia...

No problem

[edit]

Truly. No problem. I wish someone had done the same for me when I first started, so I try to do it if I come across someone new who needs it.A mcmurray 20:49, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article

[edit]

The article looks pretty good. Still having trouble with the photo? Your best bet may be to try to take one yourself. I know, I know, difficult at best. Anything else ya need don't hesitate to ask. Invite

[edit]
Hello! I thought you may be interested in joining WikiProject England. We work on creating, expanding and making general changes to England related articles. If you would be interested in joining feel free to visit the Project Page!. Thank You.

Greate! The Project has been inactive for quite a while and we are currently busy on making it active again, tagging article talk page with {{WPE}} and getting new members, if you wish to help tag some articles on their talk page then simply visit Category:England and there they are literally thousands of untagged articles in all its sub-categories. Anyway I hope you enjoy being a member and I'm sure I will hear from you in the near future!!! Tellyaddict 14:42, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well it was a little all over place but if we all work together tagging articles and doing the little things, it could be very active with lots of members and widely recognised within a month! If you are going to add yourself to the Participants page (you can find a link on the main Project page on the sidebar) then I would kindly ask if you could add it in 10mins please because I'm busy adding the information into a table! Cheers!! Tellyaddict 14:59, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject England

[edit]

Hello! You have probably noticed that WikiProject England has been inactive recently and I and other members are working on making it active again and getting more members to join. I am kindly asking for your help tagging articles for class and importance using {{WPE}}, their are literally thousands of articles at Category:England and all of its sub-categories which urgently need tagging ad your help is needed! For more information about theses templates please see the Project Page and I hope you are enjoying being a member!! Tellyaddict 21:23, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeh, every single article has to be tagged and it does get a little boring after a while but if we all (inc. me) help out tagging these articles they will be done in no time, I'm going to start shortly, also if you add the below to your Special:Mypage/monobook.js it makes it ten times easier to rate articles for their class and importance. Here is the code:

// [[User:Outriggr/metadatatest.js]] importScript('User:Outriggr/metadatatest.js'); defaultProject = "WPE";

Most projects now instead of just tagging articles informing viewers that they are within the scope actually rate them for importance and class, so if you wanted to rate an articles as A and top importance you would add: {{WPE|class=A|importance=Top}}
For more help then please see here for all the info. Hope this helps! Cheers - Tellyaddict 16:33, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Its fine! There is no need to apologies about it I just thought I'd better tell you. Reagrds - Tellyaddict 16:38, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well if you do need any help just leave me a message, its easy rating them once you get used to it but you don't have to rate them it just makes the project run smoother.Tellyaddict 16:47, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I might ask Azatoth to create one of the little ads for userpages etc to advertise that its active again, get new members etc. Thanks - Tellyaddict 09:54, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it seems you have done an excellent job on Highfield Church, I cannot suggest any areas for improvement as it seems really good! About the request for articles for WPE, you can create it if you want, I'll hapilly help you along the way, if you have any ideas then leave a message, if you want me to create it then I'll get round to it if you want - its completetly up to you, I'm going to contact Azatoth for one of them ads now. Cheers - Tellyaddict 11:38, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thats great, I'll add the England flag in a minute. Thanks for your help! Tellyaddict 13:01, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well that is just like a message board for members, WikiProject North East England has one, it sounds by the title as if its some sort of army orders page lol. Its generally just a notice board, you can see WP:NEE's by clicking the link via the Main Project Page, its up to you about creating it though. Tellyaddict 13:09, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you would not mind.Tellyaddict 14:10, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aniu

[edit]

I noticed you did some work on the Aniu article I originated. Are you a Balto fan? Because if you are, I have a userbox you might be interested in. You can find it here: User:Ben 10/Balto

--Ben 10 10:51, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw your request for attention on the Shannon Hale article. I applied WikiProject Biography section structure, an infobox and persondata, and added third-party references. (I only cringed a little at the four references citing Hale's personal website.) I'm going to set up separate articles for her books to allow whatever needs to go on there to go on separately from the author's article namespace. Thanks for raising the bat signal! -Oddharmonic 12:35, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:Calineed.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi, at Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge we're striving to bring about 10,000 article improvements and creations for the UK and Ireland and inspire others to create more content. In order to achieve this we need diversity of content, in all parts of the UK and Ireland on all topics. Eventually a regional contest will be held for all parts of the British Isles, like they were for Wales and the Wedt Country. We currently have just over 1900 articles and need contributors! If you think you'd be interested in collaborating on this and helping reach the target quicker, please sign up and begin listing your entries there as soon as possible! Thanks.♦ --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:40, 28 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:44, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. This month The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There is over £3000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. Wikimedia UK is putting up £250 specifically for editors who produce the most quality new women bios for British women, with special consideration given to missing notable biographies from the Oxford Dictionary of Biography and Welsh Dictionary of Biography. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate independently this is also fine, but please add any articles created to the bottom of the main contest page even if not competing. Your participation in the contest and contributing articles on British women from your area or wherever would we much appreciated. Thanks.
