Hello Bubba, nice to make your virtual acquaintanceAjarson (talk) 22:38, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I just got your message, thanks! I'm trying to create a page right now but I don't know how to add the info box on the right hand side. Help?

EdmOilers023 (talk) 02:04, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What is the infobox about? What are you writing about? --Call me Bubba (talk) 02:06, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I mean the box that's on the right hand side of the page displaying the person's photos, name, date of birth, city of birth etc.. I'm new to this so I have no idea how I'm posting these messages to you. Sorry for the confusion.
EdmOilers023 (talk) 02:12, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's fine. You are probably clicking on "edit" and then typing, hence our conversation. ;-)
Have you tried copying and pasting it? What's happening? --Call me Bubba (talk) 02:15, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay now that I know how to communicate with you...
Yes I did copy and paste the code from another person's page and then changed the names and stuff, but then it just shows up pretty much like how it is on the editing page instead of in a box on the right side.
EdmOilers023 (talk) 02:20, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
First off, you may notice that when you viewing our conversation, our messages appear indented, and when you are editing, you see a lot of :'s. The :'s--excuse my pictorial mind ;-)--is what is indenting the messages. This makes it easier to see who is replying to who. You can start over again all the way to the left if you want.
Do you have the two {{'s at the beginning and the two }}'s at the end? Leaving them off is probably the most common mistake. --Call me Bubba (talk) 02:28, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your message earlier. Nice to see i'm wanted and second how do you fix the album covers for the Peter Frampton albums, i've been trying but without luck. Can you help me with this problem. Thanks. --QotSA (talk) 15:01, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have to say, I have no idea what you're talking about. I've checked Peter's page, and I've checked all of his album articles, and all them have photos in the info box. Maybe it's been fixed since you posted this message. --Call me Bubba (talk) 04:17, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry if i wasn't clear, but i'm talking about the album covers which are missing from more than half of them. --QotSA (talk) 08:52, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted Changes to Glasair

[edit]

I'm not sure I understand the reversion. Can you explain why the changes were reverted? Thanks Wikiflying (talk) 23:11, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll kill the warning after I type this message. You seem to be editing in good faith, and I probably shouldn't really be vandal busting right now.
The main reason why I reverted was that your edit seemed to be non-neutral. You said Glasair was "...stronger, improved". Okay. Why is it stronger and improved?
But all in all...sorry about that. --Call me Bubba (talk) 23:27, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is stronger and improved for the reasons stated (that you reverted) - namely it's stronger in that it has a gross weight increase from 1960 lbs to 2350 lbs, it's improved because it's bigger, has more useful load, it takes the IO-390, has a rear seat, a baggage door, etc., etc., etc. Not sure I understand the issues that you seek compliance with... Thanks. Wikiflying (talk) 23:41, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you seem to know what you're talking about. I reverted myself, but changed it around a little so I could remove the word "improve" and still be grammatically correct. I think anyone could read it now and come up their own opinion on whether or not it's improved. --Call me Bubba (talk) 02:40, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bubba, no offense, but this is growing quite tiring. For example, you removed much additional information including that there are 150 flying, etc. Are you a pilot? Do you have any information that shows what I'm trying to upload here and get current is not accurate? If so, please present it. If not, I ask that you refrain from having a hair-trigger (i.e. labeling my changes vandalism). Wikiflying (talk) 16:41, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody usernamed "Ahunt" did a series of edits after me. He was the one who changed the "150" back to "35", right after I did my near revert. I'd highly recommend you check an articles' "history" tab before you make a claim like that.
No offense meant. To be honest, this is getting tiring for me, too.--Call me Bubba (talk) 23:27, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse

[edit]

I'm just curious why you removed some text from Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse. Although it sounds like NPOV, it's supported by the inline citations. I will leave it as-is. I would like to understand better so that my editing improves in future articles. Thanks. Truthanado (talk) 14:44, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

please unprotect the page Sakshama, when wikipedia is having articles for techfest, techniche and other technical fetivals. then why not a article for sakshama, a technical festival which was started from a small town of india in the year 2007 and now it is going to celebrate it's third version and it has been said as no #1 technical festival of north india. so i want to write a page for it please unprotect it. you can find more at http://sakshama.org or you can find the same communities on orkut and other social web Aashish K Mahaswary (talk) 15:47, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just pasted it from the corporations page, because it was getting too long. Tags are annoying, and there wasn't one on that page, so I'm taking it down. But please feel free to slash the rubbish parts (and I don't doubt there are). Wikidea 01:14, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Thanks. But realize what I was trying to achieve through the tags was (A.point out the issues with the article (neutrality, and being orphaned and {B.Appoint it for a POV-check. Hopefully a third person can tell us what parts to slash, besides the ones I already have (don't worry, I'll do more beforehand, if that's okay with you). Having links from only two other articles fits my understanding of an orphaned article, but I'll keep that out.--Call me Bubba (talk) 02:21, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Friendly note regarding talk page messages

[edit]

Hello. As a recent editor to User talk:90.199.49.165, I wanted to leave a friendly reminder that as per WP:USER, editors may remove messages at will from their own talk pages. While we may prefer that comments be archived instead, policy does not prohibit users -including anonymous editors like this one- from deleting messages from their own talk pages. The only kinds of talk page messages that cannot be removed (as per WP:BLANKING) are declined unblock requests (but only while blocks are still in effect), confirmed sockpuppet notices, or IP header templates (for unregistered editors). These exceptions only exist in order to keep a user from potentially gaming the system. Thanks, Kralizec! (talk) 19:23, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oops! Sorry about that! --Call me Bubba (talk) 19:24, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

my last change

[edit]

Dear Bubba, I am appalled that you would think that I am making a joke! I suffer from primodial dwarfism and this is nothing to joke about. I was merely trying to raise awareness concerning the difficulty for my people in the field of sex. This was supposed to be an attempt to reduce hostility toward the dwarf community as a whole but I am well aware now that wikipedia does not take this issue to seriously.

Sincerely, Darunia75 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Darunia75 (talkcontribs) 04:24, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Darunia,
First off, I am not wikipedia. We, the wikipedian community, don't always agree. Hence, our discussion.
Second off, I want to apologize. I didn't assume good faith, and therefore violated one of wikipedias many behavioral standards.
Third off, the comment you added to the article perhaps deserved an assumption of good faith (again, my bad), but your comment sounded like...well, like a really bad joke. You have to realize the kind of person who recent changes patrollers deal with on a day to day basis--namely, twelve year old, average-heighted male virgins who know NOTHING about sex beyond what they talk about with their friends. So, in other words, my reversion was based on past experience.
To prevent this from happening again, you might want to consider adding citations to backup what you say, but, like I said, this mess is my fault. I hope you come back --Call me Bubba (talk) 04:36, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your sandbox

[edit]

Hi there. I stumbled across your (apparent) work in progress here during a search for a particular piece of information on Hank Green. I'm believe strongly that he's notable enough to have his own article, and I'm extremely interested in working one up to a point where it will "stick" and not get deleted, but have not yet started working on it. You've made a fantastic start toward that end, but unfortunately I have a feeling it's going to take something pretty... well, awesome... to make people accept it. I'm wondering whether you might be interested in collaborating with me on the article in an attempt to get this thing done. If you're not interested, I totally understand. I look forward to hearing from you either way. -- edi(talk) 23:12, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for editing my fifa 12 information

[edit]

i'm new to scripting and everything, and the fifa 12 was actually the first time that i changed something on wikipedia. So I sort of looked at what previous people scripted and sort of followed the same pattern. as you can probably tell, my passion is football, and fifa is the virtual version of it i guess, haha. any way, i appreciated how you re-edited what i wrote and checked the reference for new information. the page looks very good now :) nice working with you.

Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.
