New user?
[edit]Hi, are you new user or returning old one?--Antidiskriminator (talk) 22:18, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
Hello, Antidiskrimanator. This is a new account.
- I did not ask you if this was a new account, but if you are new user or returning old one (with new account).
- I noticed that you are replacing English language common names of populated places with Albanian language names (like with this diff). Please respect wikipedia policy which says: "Wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's "official" name as an article title; it prefers to use the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources." --Antidiskriminator (talk) 17:07, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, this is a new account. I had an old account but i do not use it anymore.
- I do not think that 'Dečani' is a common English name. I am from London, and i have never seen the letter 'č' be used before. It is not 'frequently used', as it is not part of the English language. However, I understand that 'ç' in Albanian is not understandable either. I think the best solution to the naming of Dečani/Deçan would be to spell it 'Dechan' as that it is how it is pronounced (in Albanian). I think it would be the most clear way of spelling it, so it can be read in English.
- Also, are you a Wiki manager, since you posted on my page requesting if i am a new user?. How does this concern you?
Dirifer (talk) 17:16, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
I think 'Dechan' is more suitable than the current spelling. It is also a bit confusing to spell Dechan with a Serbian spelling when the city is mainly of Albanian ehtnicity. It's like calling London 'Londres'.
Dirifer (talk) 17:28, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
- I noticed that you continued to replace English language common names of toponyms on Kosovo with Albanian (diff). Please don't do it. Either respect wikipedia policy or start move discussion.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 19:41, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
Are you saying that the 'Albanian Alps' isn't a common English name? Also, the Albanian Alps aren't only in Kosovo - they also lie in Albania - hence the name. I thought that would be obvious... (Albanian Alps, Albania...). You are still ignoring my question above. It's very irritating. I even posted on your talk page. Dirifer (talk) 16:22, 17 June 2013 (UTC)
- No I am not a Wiki manager as far as I know. Please accept my sincere apologize if any of my edits irritated you.
- I think I gave a fairly clear explanation what is my opinion about replacing English language common names of toponyms with Albanian language names. You are of course free to disagree and to start move discussion. I don't really have much to add to that now. --Antidiskriminator (talk) 22:25, 17 June 2013 (UTC)
I am not irritated by your edits. If you are editing an article so that it is more accurate, that's fine by me. What I meant is that i was irritated because you had yet to reply to my question above, as I was confused why you wanted to know if i was a new user. I understand if you see Decan or Shkoder Lake as Albanian words... but I can't see how 'Albanian Alps' is an Albanian word. Anyway, never mind. We'll leave this discussion for another time. Šarplaninac
[edit]Please, do not misrepresent sources. We talked about this a lot on talk, and if you want to raise that question again, do it on talk, and do not disturb old version again. Thanks. --WhiteWriterspeaks 11:43, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
Read the source properly. 'It originates from the southwest part of Srbija (southern Kosovo) and the northwest part of Macedonia (Shar Planina, Bistra, Korab, Stogavo, Mavrovo, Jablanica and Pelister, etc.). ' That means the dog is from Kosovo and Macedonia. Also: 'this reserved guardian (the Illyrian sheepdog) exists in sustainable numbers in Albania and Macedonia.' That means it's also in Albania. Regarding YouTube, I looked it up on wiki and it says you can use it as a source, if it's reliable. (Wikipedia:Videos as references, WP: YouTube). Dirifer (talk) 11:50, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
- We have multiple sources that it originated from Serbia. Albania will not be included only per fact that it can be found there, as that is not origin. Next time you remove Serbia while sources explicitly mention it, i will be forced to react. National based editing is not welcomed here. That material you send is copyrighted and cannot be used. --WhiteWriterspeaks 11:56, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
You must include that the dog is found in Kosovo, too, as it is also native there. In the country of origin, it does not mention that the Illyrian sheepdog is found in Kosovo. Dirifer (talk) 16:26, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. RoK
[edit]Please, revert back all links where you link RoK with Kosovo. Link should be Kosovo only, without political connotations. Do it now, please, as you did it without any talk page agreement. --WhiteWriterspeaks 17:35, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
- On which page? Dirifer (talk) 17:38, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
- All. --WhiteWriterspeaks 17:42, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
- I have made quite a few changes recently. Can you list what pages you are talking about? I saw the one on Grachanica, what else is there? Dirifer (talk) 17:44, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
- I will report you next time. Please, dont. Štrpce. --WhiteWriterspeaks 16:45, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- Report me for what? Please make yourself clearer. What is the problem with Shtarcpce? And also, you didn't answer my earlier question. You said to 'revert back all links where you link RoK with Kosovo.' Are you referring only to Grachanica, or to something else to? Dirifer (talk) 19:22, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- For this, and similar actions. And by your former accounts you know that you will be blocked per this kind of editing. So dont, please, ever again falsify sources and use wikipedia for propaganda and political struggle. --WhiteWriterspeaks 22:04, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- My former accounts? What are you talking about? This is my only account. Stop bullshitting me with this stuff about having puppet accounts. If you really think so, why don't you ask a wiki manager to check my ip, and you'll see how wrong you are. You are acting as if i have been vandalising Wiki, but in fact your biased edits is vandilising. Dirifer (talk) 18:11, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

Albanian alternative names
[edit]Hi,
I noticed that you were adding Albanian language toponyms as alternative names on English language wikipedia even if that toponyms were not widely used in English language sources. That is wrong and unnecessary because in most cases Albanian language names are already presented as such. --Antidiskriminator (talk) 18:08, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- They are fairly used. You can revert the ones that produce 0 google books hits. But if they still produce results, you shouldn't remove them. As they are Albanian cities, the Albanian names should be given as one of the article names or as an alternate name. Dirifer (talk) 19:03, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- "You can revert the ones that produce 0 google books hits." It is not about what I can revert, its about what you should not add.
- " As they are Albanian cities, the Albanian names ..." It is irrelevant if cities belong to Albania or not.
- I explained you many times. What only matters is what name is widely used in English language sources. --Antidiskriminator (talk) 20:01, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- Well, they are still used, and so shouldn't be removed from the article. I said you can revert them as i didn't know the result had 0 results. I'm not the perfect editor. Also, the cities don't belong to Albania; they belong to the Republic of Kosovo, which is inhabited by Albanians. Dirifer (talk) 09:26, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

78.26 (I'm no IP, talk to me!) 12:27, 1 July 2013 (UTC)Widely accepted historical English names
[edit]Hi,
I noticed you continued with Albanization of English language names. This time you changed widely accepted historical English names in article Albanian–Venetian War (1447–48) (diff). There is a guideline (Wikipedia:Naming conventions (geographic names)) which says "If the place does not exist anymore, or the article deals only with a place in a period when it held a different name, the widely accepted historical English name should be used." In case of this article, it was Scutari and Durazzo, not Shkoder and Durres.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 20:18, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, i will change them back (if they haven't been changed already). I assumed they were wrong, my mistake :) . Dirifer (talk) 08:56, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

A minor change to DRN
[edit]Hi there, you're getting this message as you are involved in a case at the Dispute Resolution Noticeboard which is currently open. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
