Clarification Regarding Recent Paid Editing Concerns

[edit]

Hello @Dmitry Bobriakov,

I noticed that you recently raised a concern about me being a paid Wikipedia editor on one of the pages I drafted. I want to clarify that I have been contributing to Wikipedia for several months, focusing on editing, improving, and creating articles solely to enhance the platform, without any financial involvement from the subjects. I believe there may have been a misunderstanding, and I hope this helps clarify my position. Bdatpal (talk) 07:16, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't do any more explaining @Bdatpal because you were hired through the Upwork platform to edit articles. Once the request is reviewed by an administrator your account will be blocked if you do not disclose which articles you were paid to edit! Dmitry Bobriakov (talk) 15:04, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What raises concern here is the fact that you joined the platform just two days ago, on October 5th, and are already making accusations of paid editing against me, despite my diverse editing history that spans various topics. I believe this situation warrants a thorough review by an administrator to ensure proper handling. Bdatpal (talk) 16:44, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It seems evident that you may be the one receiving compensation to carry out questionable actions on one of the articles I am currently working on or have worked on. Your approach is unusually direct for someone claiming to expose paid editors voluntarily. I believe this matter warrants closer scrutiny and should be investigated. Bdatpal (talk) 16:48, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your editing history clearly demonstrates that you have an not disclosed WP:COI. Please be patient until everything is explained to you! Dmitry Bobriakov (talk) 17:49, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am fully aware of the WP:COI guidelines, and I can confidently state that I have no conflict of interest with any of my edits. I'm still standing on the fact that a baseless accusation like this raises concerns, especially when it comes from a user who has only been on the platform for barely a day. Bdatpal (talk) 20:22, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have to explain myself to you! Just watch how many editors like you will be identified and blocked. Dmitry Bobriakov (talk) 10:13, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Dmitry. Just in case you didn't already know, Bdatpal has now been blocked as a sockpuppet of Palucy, who was blocked for spamming. JBW (talk) 21:49, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, @JBW. Thanks for the update.
Please check this editor as it is also a COI editor. Dmitry Bobriakov (talk) 20:44, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Query

[edit]

Hello, Dmitry Bobriakov,

I hope you realize how unusual it is for a brand new editor, who has made only 40 edits, to proclaim they are investigating Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Conflict of interest reports. I don't see that you have edited other Wikimedia projects with this account so what were your previous account(s)? You are not editing like a new editor, most of whom have no idea what COI is. Please disclose previous account(s) on your User page or there could be questions about sockpuppetry. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 00:56, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @Liz,
And thank you for this message, I understand your concerns. You can check at paid-en-wp@wikipedia.org where for a long time I have been sending messages with the irregularities that I was seeing in wikipedia being just a simple reader. As the messages were sometimes very difficult to process with a delay of 1-3 months, I decided to create an account to do this work as efficiently as possible.
I do not have any other wikipedia account and I am open for any verification!
Before I made all these changes, I familiarized myself with wikipedia policies and strictly followed the steps that the administrators were following, according to the messages that were sent to the above address. This is how I learned all this so that now I can use them in practice.
In case the message in my user page is misleading or confusing I can modify it in a way that there will be no more such confusions. Dmitry Bobriakov (talk) 08:45, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
