Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2019 Mozambican general election, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Beira (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Infoboxes

[edit]

Hi Felipe. Thanks for your addition of infoboxes to numerous articles. Just to let you know, there is a general rule for presidential election infoboxes that candidates with less than 5% should not be included in the infobox, unless the second-place candidate is under 5%. Deletion discussion about Civic Community

[edit]

Hello, FelipeRev

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Meeanaya and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Civic Community, should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Civic Community.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Meeanaya}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Parliamentary diagrams

[edit]

Hello Felipe. It looks like you may have used the wrong colour (yellow) for the PAICV in the diagrams on the 2001 and 2006 Cape Verdean parliamentary election articles. Cheers, Number 57 19:37, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also not sure what's going on with the colour for the PCD in the 1995 Cape Verdean parliamentary election one? It doesn't match that used in the infobox. Cheers, Number 57 19:42, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Number 57 I did not use the wrong color, I extracted it from the party references. Historically, PAICV is identified more with yellow than red. For the PCD, I relied on the symbol that appears on the Electoral Commission website. You can check the Wikipedia article in Spanish. Regards.--FelipeRev (talk) 04:36, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I see you've changed the meta colour to yellow, but there are some diagrams that still use red (e.g. ). Cheers, Number 57 08:13, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Election maps

[edit]

Hello Felipe, I'm an user who really appreciates your election maps and diagrams, especially your Gambian and Ghanaian ones. I am fairly active in editing Nigerian election pages and was wondering if you would consider making maps for them. As one of the world's biggest democracies, it is imperative for Nigerian election pages (on gubernatorial, National Assembly, and most importantly, presidential elections) to have more detailed maps that show more than currently. I know you likely have other projects but I'd quite appreciate if you could consider Nigerian pages. Thanks, Watercheetah99 (talk) 06:30, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Watercheetah99 Sure. As long as the results are available, I will take care of making the maps. Greetings!--FelipeRev (talk) 06:42, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Wonderful, thanks! If you need any help with results ask me or WikiProject Nigeria. For recent presidential elections, state by state results should be here. For National Assembly elections, finding the House and State constituency maps could be difficult but by later this month, I will attempt to finalize the 2019 Senate and House elections as I recently came across old court decisions that changed the results. For gubernatorial elections, it depends as some (like the 2021 Anambra State gubernatorial election) will be straightforward but others could be more difficult; elections from 2015 to 2021 should be available but if you need help just ask. I'd start with 2021 Anambra as that is the election I know for certain has accurate results on its page. Thank you and good luck! Watercheetah99 (talk) 06:55, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Results for the 2020 Ondo State and 2020 Edo State gubernatorial elections are here and here, respectively. Watercheetah99 (talk) 07:24, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Results for the 2019 Bayelsa and 2019 Kogi State gubernatorial elections are here. For the other elections: 2019 Yobe (source), 2019 Cross River (source), and 2017 Anambra (source) have full results but the others I don't see right now. Watercheetah99 (talk) 02:27, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Watercheetah99 2019 Done! I will continue with the others.--FelipeRev (talk) 07:25, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Watercheetah99 I only need the map of the presidential elections of 2007. All the others have already been duly created. It was very difficult for me to find the result for 2007. Do you have any sources?--FelipeRev (talk) 05:40, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for the maps! For 2007 presidential, I honestly don't think that data exists, the election was so poorly rigged that INEC didn't even release state by state "results;" maybe in 25 years someone will find the results in a cabinet in INEC headquarters. If you'd like too, the elections that are left are gubernatorial and legislative. For 2019 legislative, I haven't compiled the results yet (when I do I'll send them) but for gubernatorial, there are a few with LGA results that I sent earlier. You could also make other maps: ones for gubernatorial election overview pages (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) like the ones on [United States gubernatorial elections results map.svg|American pages] and/or current situation maps for the House (current members), Senate (current members - base map), or Governor's offices (current list). The maps are great! thanks again--Watercheetah99 (talk) 07:44, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Watercheetah99 When the Nigerian government restores access to Twitter, I will be able to access some contacts that I have over there and see if they know anything. For now, I have the map started (I found a press release that awarded the PDP two southern states with 94 and 96% of the votes). Let's hope to complete the map one day. I will review the other maps shortly.--FelipeRev (talk) 07:48, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

States carried

[edit]

Hello. With regards to your addition of states carried to Venezuelan election articles, is it a requirement of Venezuelan presidential elections that candidates win X number of states? If not, I don't think this should be in the infobox (which is not really meant to contain any information not already in the article somewhere else). Cheers, Number 57 17:02, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Number 57 Hello! Under this criterion, the states carried out in the US elections would not have any significance either, since the number of states does not influence to win the election, but rather the number of electoral votes (and a majority of electoral votes is numerically possible without winning the majority of the states). This is an extra interesting fact, in my opinion, that applies mainly to federal countries, and it is not misplaced. Greetings.--FelipeRev (talk) 06:54, 3 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The US is an odd case, as while you are right that there is no requirement to win X number of states, the number of states won does matter because of the stupid electoral college system. As the Venezuelan election is purely based on popular vote, the number of states won has zero impact on the result. Cheers, Number 57 09:09, 3 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

2021 Samoan election map

Hello there, I just wanted to inform you of an error in the 2021 Samoan election map. Requests

[edit]

Hello there, I have two requests,

Firstly I wanted to inform you of an error in the 2016 Samoan general election map. The individual votersʼ seats were actually dissolved before the 2016 election and were replaced by the Urban East and Urban West constituencies. Unlike the individual voters’ seats, the urban constituencies were not nationwide but were instead situated in Apia and overlapped the constituency there. I have not found any maps of the urban east and urban west electorates. Unless you or another does, I suggest, in the meantime, removing the miniature Samoa map and replacing it with two blue circles with a caption that reads ‘Urban seats’.

Secondly, I would like to request the creation of maps (similar to the Electoral boundaries of Saint Lucia map) of how the Samoan electoral boundaries appeared from 1996-2016, 2016-2021 and the divisions used since the 2021 election.

Many thanks in advance. N Panama 84534 12:00, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Venezuelan election maps

[edit]

Hello. Thanks for the new maps, but could you remove the claimed bit of Guyana from them? The elections didn't take place in those territories and it's a bit misleading to include it. Cheers, Number 57 15:46, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Botswana

[edit]

Hello. Re this edit, the Botswana Movement for Democracy article claims they only won two seats in the 2014 elections, so just wondering where –9 came from? Cheers, Number 57 08:38, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Number 57 BMD actually won nine seats in 2014 elections. I don't know. You can see the location there. Greetings!--FelipeRev (talk) 10:57, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nueva Mayoría

[edit]

I think the point of the references was to prove it was named Nueva Mayoría in English as the common name. As you point out I think it is kind of excessive to include such an amount of references just to prove that point. They could still be used for something else so I suggest taking them to the talk page for example, to see some use for them. Bedivere (talk) 16:38, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@MPGuy2824: Good day MPGuy2824,
I have seen your senseful complaints on the population references and I'll fix these discrepancies across all related pages as soon as possible including creating a page on the list of constituencies (ideally by moving the redundant Parliamentary constituencies of the 2014 Botswana general elections page). Leaders' seat parameter

[edit]

Hello. You may not be aware, but the leaders_seat parameter should only be used in election infoboxes when the information is in the body of the article. This was an agreed outcome of an RfC on the status of the parameter last year. Cheers, Number 57 00:55, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there,
If you take a look at the pages using this parameter, nearly all don't mention the info in the body of the article. This seems like a rule that's not followed and I don't see why Botswana specifically should not use this parameter because of the RfC outcome (of which I find preposterous, in all honesty). Unless, these discrepancies are fixed in one way or the other, I believe the parameter should remain as is. Aficionado538 (talk) 11:31, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome to start another RfC on the subject, but not to ignore the outcome of the most recent one regardless of how absurd you believe the outcome to be. I would imagine the guidance is primarily ignored on articles that used the parameter prior to the guidance being updated. However, this isn't really an excuse for adding it to more articles (especially when you are aware you are doing so in violation of the guidance). Number 57 13:35, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
May I please have the link to the RfC. Aficionado538 (talk) 13:50, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it's here. Number 57 14:01, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the link. The summary of the RfC states:

Editors are encouraged to include appropriate guidance on when to use the parameter (per MOS:INFOBOX) in the template documentation, i.e. only when the information is also included in the article.

As far as I see it, the guidance since added is not a necessity but simply just that—a guidance. The overall consensus was for the parameter to remain in the template as the no side

…[was] unsuccesful (sic) in this and thus there was no consensus to remove the parameter from the infobox template.

I look forward to hearing back from you. Aficionado538 (talk) 15:05, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the RfC explicitly did not set a steadfast rule. Watercheetah99 (talk) 01:57, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, there are enough sources to say that Together for Change has a far-right faction, here I leave them for you (but if you can place them better, because I can't edit it yet) I obtained the sources from the Wikipedia of political parties of Argentina:
