Ancient Macedonians

[edit]

Per this Wikipedia article they were essentially a Greek people. Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles. Jingiby (talk) 06:40, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your message is in fact your point of view, and I am not adding my own "personal" analysis but responding to biased and politicized language. "Greek" is a modern nationalistic term that doesn't apply to ancient people groups. This Wikipedia article is about Professor Borza whose work itself casts doubt on the hypothesis of the alleged Hellenic roots of the ancient Macedonians. As I understand, you are not the sole authority and arbiter of what types of things will be assumed for the purposes of this article. This conclusion is backed with a different sources from many researchers and is a result of 2-decaded discussions there. If you want change this status, discuss the issue there and gain a consensus. Thanks. Jingiby (talk) 06:48, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is by no means a "conclusion," and Eugene Borza's work is ironically the very proof that no such consensus exists. Please do not make unfounded assertions, especially in a Wikipedia page regarding the very same scholar whose work actually casts doubt on the "conclusion" you claim to be well-established.
