The edit was constructive because Niger m’s insurgency is in the Sahel and not the Mahgreb.Joaquinazo (talk) 17:12, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Move

[edit]

Hello. Please do not move pages randomly and without justification [1]. Much less to a title with wrong capitalization. You also kept links to the old title everywhere. This action only made me waste my time. Please don't do it again, start a Wikipedia:Requested move if you think an article should have a different title. On what basis is 2023 American-Middle East conflict linked to Syrian Civil War? Mindthem (talk) 15:00, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Syrian militias backed by Iran attacked American forces. With your logic, the December 2019 airstrikes wouldve not been in Syira. Its part of the American intervention Joaquinazo (talk) 15:25, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
2023 American-Middle East conflict is more linked to 2023 Israel-Hamas war than Syrian Civil War. Those militias were motivated by the Israeli Hamas conflict, they did that in response to Israeli actions in Gaza but you went on to reverted the edits without looking into page’s talk, where there was a bit of discussion about the links of conflicts. As Wikipedians, we must be neutral, not aligned to any particular country or group. Mindthem (talk) 15:49, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No it is not. It explicitly said don't link it to the Hamas war. It is more linked to the American intervention in the Syrian civil warJoaquinazo (talk) 16:09, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
By who? who said that? Joe Biden? Mindthem (talk) 16:13, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
“These narrowly tailored strikes in self-defense were intended solely to protect and defend U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria,” Mr. Austin said. “They are separate and distinct from the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, and do not constitute a shift in our approach to the Israel-Hamas conflict.” New York Times. Joaquinazo (talk) 16:15, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yaah by Austin right, but when doing analysis, you should look on both sides. The militias did attack in response to Israeli and American actions in and towards Gaza. He was saying so for political reasons, trying not escalate the situation and avoid American public resistance. Mindthem (talk) 16:47, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Its like saying the September 11 attacks would be a part of the Arab–Israeli conflict and/or the other conflicts mentioned (Southern Lebanon, Kashmir, Chechenya) because it was motivated by them. Without them, 9/11 would've probably never happened. And 9/11 isnt universally considered to be a part of those.Joaquinazo (talk) 16:54, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
source for earlier statement - Joaquinazo (talk) 16:55, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Read news articles from October 7, 2023 and make up your mind. We are not some kind of U.S propaganda outlet Mindthem (talk) 17:01, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
How does the October 7 attack prove the point of Iraqi and Syrian militia attacks against the US - Joaquinazo (talk) 17:02, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I said read news articles from October 7, so that you know situation as it is, not as you want it to be or what you are being told in USA by your government. Mindthem (talk) 17:14, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
