Welcome & User page

[edit]

First off,

Welcome!

Hello, Mallerd, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} after the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!

About your post on ny talk: The Netherlands have changed in the last couple of years and not for the better. Still I feel committed to the Dutch tradition of openness and tolerance. I'll try to find the music you advised me, but they don't even have a wiki, why not start one? C mon 15:56, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bracciano

[edit]

Rationale for deletion:

  • Is Inglorious bastard relevant?
  • Inglorious bastard should be written in italics
  • Above all, WHAT is Inglorious Bastard? I think one must keep in mind such articles could be read by everyone in the world, say, a read from Burkina Faso would not have the slightest idea of what are we speaking of, if a minimal ontext is not given.

Ciao and good work. --'''Attilios''' (talk) 12:05, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on Talk:Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. P in X

[edit]

I saw you asked Algos what was with the P in an X. This might help you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chi_Rho Calusarul (talk) 22:44, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Mallerd. You have new messages at Thejadefalcon's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Welcome back

[edit]

... Thejadefalcon's message is here, now.

And as to the Bracciano problem above: I'm thinking "A scene of the 1978 spaghetti western [er, actually, I learn, "macaroni combat" film] The Inglorious Bastards was shot there" would work fine, though a footnote would be nice, too. If you want to revive that good edit.... ;) Swliv (talk) 18:54, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Family Traits.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Family Traits.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:50, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
