Notability of Dee Cordry

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Dee Cordry, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Dee Cordry seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Dee Cordry, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 11:00, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the above for use of multiple accounts. Tyrenius (talk) 17:56, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article could benefit from footnotes to show which references were used for which information. Study the ref guide above on this page and see Harriet Arbuthnot for an example. The inline link in the first paragraph doesn't work by the way. However, generally the article is in reasonable shape, especially for a "beginner". The first para doesn't have a heading. It is called the lead section and should be a summary of the article. Tyrenius (talk) 21:59, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple refs. For subsequent use of the ref you put:
<ref name=OSBI></ref>
You just need to put:
<ref name=OSBI/>
Don't forget the /

Yes, well done on the complexities. Small point - the ref tag goes after punctuation (and without a gap, to prevent line wrap). I don't see the international work, so I've asked for a cite there - or just change the text. You could have removed the tag at the top of the page yourself, once you had met the requirements. More articles maybe? Perhaps one on Forensic artist if the refs are available... Tyrenius (talk) 04:08, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ref tags

[edit]

Ref tags go after punctuation without a gap to avoid line wrap. Tyrenius (talk) 17:39, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. A lot to remember. :) Tyrenius (talk) 23:09, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thought the above might be of interest. If anyone on the list isn't notable, they should be removed. If they are, then the red links need an article. Tyrenius (talk) 23:15, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sign

[edit]

As a courtesy to other editors, it is a Wikipedia guideline to sign your posts on talk pages, user talk pages, and WikiProject pages. To do so, simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. Your user name or IP address (if you are not logged in) and the date will then be automatically added along with a timestamp when you save your comment. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). For further info, read Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thank you. Something else to remember! Tyrenius (talk) 23:46, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
