Please don’t bite me, I’m a newbie!

I’m a university student in a Wikipedia Education class, and I’m currently learning how to contribute to Wikipedia.
I am approaching my subject in good faith.

If you have any concerns or questions, my tutor’s name is Almamo18 (talk · contribs). Thanks!

Welcome!

Your change to Nottingham College

[edit]

Gooday (that's the English version) - this is just to alert you that the Yumpu link you added will likely be considered inappropriate, in that it may be a scan of a copyrighted magazine by a third-party host. I can't easily see a copyright symbol or annotation, though. That's unusual for a hard copy. Don't have time to look further presently. Normally, even when copy-free, it is would be usual to add page numbers to whatever it supposed to be citing. I've double-tagged it (so that it shows up in both the prose and ref listing) and I'll leave it for now but someone else might pick it up. The wording is "... if you know that an external Web site is carrying a work in violation of the creator's copyright, do not link to that copy of the work."

If you need to reply you can do so here. Thank you.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 20:26, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sign posts on talk pages

[edit]

Please sign your posts on talk pages per WP:SIGN, such as WT:WikiProject Military history. See WP:TALK for general info on talk page use. Regards, -Fnlayson (talk) 02:36, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Came here to say the same thing. You had a post at WT:MILHIST that went unsigned for 2 months. Signatures are important, they don't just let people know who posted what, but they're also needed for archiving, the function of which is handled by bots on many high-traffic talk pages making signatures and their timestamps a necessity. Please try to remember to sign all your posts going forward. Thank you - wolf 20:45, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Military history coordinator election nominations open

Nominations for the upcoming project coordinator election are now open. A team of up to ten coordinators will be elected for the next year. If you are interested in running, please sign up here by 23:59 UTC on 14 September! Voting doesn't commence until 15 September.
