Sex Pistols

[edit]

Hey Quercusrobur, I reverted your renaming of that Pistol's section, sorry about that, but the article is undergoing a WP:FAR and needs to be 'just so', ie WP:MOS etc. They WERE hit singles, but that needs to be a narrative statement, rather one in the heading. I noticed you have made good contributions to this article before, could do with a hand in avoiding the article becoming a WP:FAR victim. :( , anyway, (Coil00 20:57, 21 September 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Oh christ, just relised you deleted 'Hit' rather than added! (was using 'pop ups', sometimes a bit confusing). I'll delete that word again later. It'd be great if you could add a few refs, but more than anything the language needs to be toned down a bit. Anyway, always good to hear from another old punk, take care Coil00 07:41, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kronstadt Uprising

[edit]

I don't know if you ever met them or not, but it wouldn't suprise me. Anywho, I just got one of their CDs and there are not lyrics in the book, and I swear not a single place online has any of their lyrics (not even their official website). Their website doesn't have any contact info either, otherwise I'd email them. Do you know of how I can find the lyrics and/or how I can get in contact with them? Thanks. Ungovernable ForceGot something to say? 06:22, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome! Thanks a lot. The website looks pretty cool, haven't checked out the message boards yet. I just had my birthday so I splurged at Amoeba Records in San Francisco. It was my first time there and was almost like a religious experience. I felt bad spending so much money on CDs, but they had so much cool obscure stuff I've never seen in any record stores. That's where I found the CD. The best one I got was probably the Oi Polloi album I'm listening to right now. Well, have a good time this weekend, that sounds pretty cool. And if I ever find anything by either of your bands I'll be sure to snap it up if I'm not broke, but something tells me I'll have trouble finding any of your stuff here in the states. Damn anarchist bands doing indy labels and self-releases ;) Ungovernable ForceGot something to say? 06:04, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Punk rock

[edit]

Hi Graham, I notice two pictures taken by you are currently featured on Punk rock. The article is currently up for FAR, one of the issues I'm trying to get around is the number of fair use images being used. Was wondering if there are anymore free images in the Quercusrobur vaults, in paticular one that could be used for the Oi! section. Thanks. + Ceoil 23:55, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help Resolving a conflict

[edit]

I have read the pages about this on wikipedia and I have came to you because you seem to be a person who knows how wikipedia is supposed to work and are most likely 100% neutral on this matter. I am involved in a rather intense edit war with two other editors of the article Miriam Rivera. In the last days the user User:Jokestress has quite reasonably asked for the article to be backed up with more reliable sources. Well I found them and that seems to have placated her. She has acted in 100% reasonable way in all of this. The problem arises in that she has asked in the spirt of resolving the conflict we were having other people who are not 100% neutral it seems to comment on the matter. These being the user User:Longhair and the userUser:Alison in particular who have not bothered to justify anything that they have done. Longhiar being an admin seems to feel no need to discuss anything and I feel is abusing her powers. Is there anything you can do? --Hfarmer 04:22, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I put an article up for peer review, Date cultivation in Dar al-Manasir, and found your name in the horticulture wikiproject list of people. [edit]

Does anybody else remember when contributing to wikipedia used to be FUN????? I don't even understand half of the gobbledegook above and certainly don't have the energy or time to start to undertake the labyrinthine process of meeting whatever obscure criteria is being demanded above, even though I know that all of the images uploaded were done in good faith according to the guidelines specified at the time, and all the images illustrate relevant points in the articles in question, but if the wikip[edia project will be enhanced rather than diminished by their deletion, do what you have to do. i think I'm out of here. quercus robur 00:37, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suspension of admin privileges due to inactivity

[edit]

Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative privileges of users who have been inactive for one year, meaning administrators who have made neither any edits nor any logged actions in over one year. As a result of this discussion, your administrative privileges have been removed pending your return. If you wish to have these privileges reinstated, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. Notice of change

[edit]

Hello. You are receiving this message because of a recent change to the administrator policy that alters what you were told at the time of your desysopping. The effect of the change is that you will not longer be able to request restoration of the tools because of your prior inactivity. You have until December 30, 2012 to request restoration or else the policy will prevent you from doing so in the future; you would need to seek a new WP:RFA. Until December 30, you can file a request at WP:BN for review by the crats. Thank you. MBisanz talk 04:22, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Red Square (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://jonseagroatt.com/projects/red-square/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
