A tag has been placed on File:Abdoul Aziz Keita Awarded.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. – Train2104 (t • c) 02:25, 10 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Gheorge-Cornea.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Gheorge-Cornea.jpg, which you've attributed to Sister of Gheorghe Cornea. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:39, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Susanowoo. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Chavda Maisha, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --Animalparty! (talk) 17:41, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please tell me precisely what I wrote who is considered as advertising. I admit that the picture of the player was taken by myself because I work for a Blog specialized in African Football. This picture was never published in a site except Wikipedia.
Nowhere in the above message accuses you of advertising. Note the message states "if you have an external relationship..." I saw you had taken and uploaded a picture (File:Maishachavda.jpg) that appears to be of a personal nature, and had included some relatively trivial details. If you indeed have no professional or personal relation to the subject, then please accept my apologies for presumption, and carry on. Note also that if you work for a blog, the COI guidelines can apply to that publication (see WP:SELFCITE): assuming it is a reliable source, you may cite it within reason, as long as it is not excessive, promotional, etc. Lastly, as a general recommendation for the article Chavda Maisha and all articles, verification would be greatly improved by adding inline citations. Cheers, --Animalparty! (talk) 22:28, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why not make a specific rectangle showing the player's complete identity card as is the case for most players or coaches? This seems to me more serious and above all more legible than what we currently see.

Hello, Susanowoo. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "FAYE Ibrahima".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. » Shadowowl | talk 16:10, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Guglielmo Arena: Vandalism and censorship

[edit]

Whenever I inform the community of the coach's move into the Buildcon FC club by taking the time to include in the "references" part all the proof that is needed, the "Buildcon FC" part is deleted.

This part is particularly important since it is part of the career of the professional coach who, since it seems since, is still without post.

I do not lie, I bring evidence with recognized information sites.

Why am I vandalized and censored?

Can this stop? Because it's unfair!

I would like for once to be protected by the Wikipedia community when I am a victim.

I'm waiting for your support.

Thank you

Information icon Hello, I'm General Ization. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Mathieu Madénian have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. General Ization Talk 17:28, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is a very serious case that shakes the world of French and international humor as North American and European humorists are affected by this case.
We talk about it on the Internet, on television and on radio in France and abroad. As you will notice the sources are from French sites but also international web sites.
So what you just did is not appropriate.
So I ask that you review your judgment

--Susanowoo (talk) 23:29, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

We do not simply plop a list of links, without explanation or summary of their content, into the References section of an article here, as you did at Mathieu Madénian. This is an encyclopedia, not a collection of links. If the content at the links is important to an understanding of the subject, and if they link to reliable sources, you can summarize the content at the links in the article and cite those sources as references for the added content. Having reviewed my judgment, it stands. General Ization Talk 23:32, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. A tag has been placed on File:Yonis farah.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Saber Abdellaoui moved to draftspace

[edit]

Hi, the sources attached to this article are all about Montassar Louhichi, not about the article subject.

An article you recently created, Saber Abdellaoui, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Image without license

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Photo taken during a training with the National Team of Israel in september 2020.jpeg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 20:45, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Saber Abdellaoui

[edit]

Hello, Susanowoo. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Saber Abdellaoui".
