Just saying hello and welcome...helpful, informed edits are always welcome in the horse articles! The quality varies widely, and there are a lot of stubs that need expansion...you can help! On the bigger articles, it's wise to do as you have done and put a comment on the talk page, but sometimes, especially when a poorly-written article has been abandoned, just dive right in. And never overlook a chance to click on a new wikilink...some good article you think is out there turns out to have been vandalized or moved, so maintenance is always a job for us all. A tag has been placed on Queer Student Cultural Center, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

This is the official word: WikiProject Equine was quietly created by someone while the rest of us were endlessly discussing a WikiProject Horse. We have an official project! So let's go with it, and I am officially inviting you to formally join! Go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Equine, add your name to the list and see what you can contribute. If you haven't already joined Wikipedia:WikiProject Horse breeds or one of the other "child" or "affiliated" wikiprojects at WikiProject Equine, please feel free to do so. Just trying to tag articles with the new templates has awakened me to the fact that there are over 1000 equine articles in Wikipedia! This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. SHARE members created the MVS utilities?

I was a SHARE volunteer for 12 years and an MVT sysprog long ago, but I can't say I've ever heard that SHARE or its members created any of the MVS utility programs as you describe in IBM mainframe utility programs#History/Common JCL. Mind sharing where that knowledge comes from? It's the sort of statement that ought to be referenced if we can find one that backs it up. RossPatterson (talk) 06:30, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
