- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:

[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Hefei Metro templates indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! - Hello, ZandDev,
- As the notice above states,
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself
. If the category is no longer empty, there are other editors who can see that the CSD tag is removed. We have several editors who regularly patrol Category:Empty categories awaiting deletion and remove categories that were empty but are no longer empty any more. This happens on a daily basis. Thank you! Liz Read! Talk! 18:31, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Jean Morère (disambiguation)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Jean Morère (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Spaces
[edit]Unless you are making a significant change in the same edit, there is no need to remove excess spaces from an article, the system takes care of them (see the source of this note) and they aren't displayed. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 14:58, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- @JMF: "before the end of the 2030s ." The space at the end was not ignored, so I noticed it. With two simply regex I removed some trailing and double spaces. --ZandDev 15:21, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- Well well! "You have the advantage of me, Sir!" as I failed to notice that one. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 15:29, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
