Tamiaki Yoneya (米谷民明 Yoneda Tamiaki, born 1947) is a Japanese physicist, known as a pioneer of string theory.

The string length ls replaces the role of the Planck length in ordinary approaches to quantizing gravity within the framework of local field theory.
