Dutch we is not a synonym of wij. We is a clitic form that cannot carry emphasis, wij can.

Can't it also mean "you", e.g. a mother says to her child, "We're going to be a good boy today, aren't we?" Tooironic 08:42, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

I would call that the parental we. Looks like I added a quote for it and forgot that i had. Anyway, Im coming back to this to consider moving the parental, royal, and editoral we all under a single header with subsenses to distinguish between the three otherwise very similar uses. —Soap— 19:52, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
